Posting pictures/screenshots/thumbnails

Can someone tell me if there is an easier way of posting any of the above other than uploading to say a website like imgur then copying & pasting the pictures url string?

No most of the websites I have been involved in work this way. Although some allow you to upload small files.

Guess it saves on server space?
