Poll about the current new life rule

Should people be allowed to take part in the same firefight after they've already died once?

Hello, I've been a part of this community for some time now. I had a lot of good times on this server, some nice combat and everything. Something I noticed though after a while as a rebel, is that the cops does seem pretty careless about dying these days. They simply rush in and die really fast, and repeat.

We had quite some big firefights in Kavala lately (cops trying to prevent us from selling drugs), and in all those fights the cops have just rushed in like they didn't care. We kill most of them and that's fine - But already 15 minutes later the same cops will be back and fighting the same fight again.

I know that the cops are not breaking the current new life rule, but it's still annoying.

The cops are already outnumbering the rebels in fights like these, and whenever a rebel dies it takes at least 30-45 minutes for him to be geared up again and come back (he will not be able to return to the fight in time). But the cop can spawn directly into Kavala and gear up within a few minutes. This means a cop can die 3 times and come back every time to fight the same fight, before the rebel even can be back one time. That's without even breaking the new life rule.

A long decent firefight can easily last above 30 minutes if there's enough people involved. Cops will win most of those fights since they simply have a huge advantage over us with the current new life rule.

Which is why I'm making this poll about if, is it actually fair that people can return to the same firefight again?

If people actually agrees with me, he's a suggestion on how it could be:

Once you die in a firefight, you may return to the area after the 15 minutes - But you cannot join the fight again.

This would make it a lot more fair for rebels whenever there's big fights going down in Kavala or near any other cop spawns.

I understand 2 sides of this. 1 would be that yes i feel that this can be unfair towords rebels that police return back to a fire fight multiple times after 15 mins each death.

The other argument would be that 1 rebels have access to more powerful weapons than police standard issue and so this balances it out and 2 IRL there would be a hell of a lot more police. in some cases the NLR saves the police as they can return to a fight as there are only a few online. in others when there are tons of police online it can be a  little unfair as once you are seen then thats it, your dead or in a VERY long fire fight.

The other issue would be that defining when a situation / fire fight has ended so that people can return to the area. there will be a lot of complaints. i can see it happening.

Another point would be that you have touched on is the drugs side of things. i feel as if smuggling drugs and the stop and search powers need to change as it is far too easy for drugs to be run and police are not seen as that big of a threat. if you are at one of three key locations (field/processes/drug dealer) then police are a threat BUT, police cannot camp these locations and so they have to catch you in transit and yet they have very very limited search powers that are 90% usually complained about. both of these rules could do with some tweaks and suggestions are welcome. =)

I'd say it's fine as is. Also if a city attack happened then it would end quickly and it's known to be one of the most fun things you can do on the server. I've been in one that lasted for three hours and it was glorious.

Also Dave has the police limited processing camping rule been revoked? (It used to be that 10 minutes of camping were permitted every hour as it is a known illegal crime area.)

I don't disagree with Dave on this, I have no problems with the 15min rule in these cases.

But if we are to talk about closer to real life scenarios, no cop would run into this with overpowered tazers at all. In Norway a branch called Delta would be called upon, in the US S.W.A.T would be the guys to call and I belive on this server they are called TFU, and they would not bring tazers..

They would be out there with the most powerful tools at their disposal making it a propper challenge  :D
