Any police officer can pull over any vehicle at any time to perform random spot checks. We recommend that our officers only search a vehicle or a person if they have reason to suspect they may be carrying something illegal.

Regarding Searching:

• When they have reasonable suspicion that you have something on you. (e.g. Weed)
  
• They have witnessed you or had reports of you doing illegal activity.
  
• They can NEVER search you while there is combat. (Combat searching)
  

Regarding Pullovers:

• Again reasonable suspicion. (e.g. around a drug related area)
  
• They have witnessed you doing wrong (e.g. Speeding/Dangerous Driving)
