A lot of people are still unaware of the police stop and search powers, so for those who don't know, here are your rights:

The police have powers to stop and question you at any time - they can search you depending on the situation.

A community support officer (CSO) or Police community support officer (PCSO)must be in uniform when they stop and question you. A police officer doesn't always have to be in uniform.

Stop and search: police powers

A police officer has powers to stop and search you if they have ‘reasonable grounds’ to suspect you’re carrying:

·                                 illegal drugs

·                                 a weapon

·                                 stolen property

·                                 something which could be used to commit a crime, eg a crowbar

You can only be stopped and searched without reasonable grounds if it has been approved by a senior police officer. This can happen if it is suspected that:

·                                 serious violence could take place

·                                 you’re carrying a weapon or have used one

·                                 you’re in a specific location or area

Before you’re searched

Before you’re searched the police officer must tell you:

·                                 their name and police station

·                                 what they expect to find, eg: drugs

·                                 the reason they want to search you, eg: it looks like you’re hiding something

·                                 why they are legally allowed to search you

The crowbar was an example (Based on the fact that Arma 3 has no melee weapons). And as far as I'm aware guns aren't "illegal" you just can't have them openly visible within city limits.

i haven't been told these when i have gotten searched, only thing i have been told is "i think you might have something in your car" for usually no reason.

This depends on probable cause, if the officer has no reason to search you, then no he cant. If you feel a search is about to happen and you feel you are being searched unfairly, you have the right to have a senior officer (SPC or higher) to review what is happening.

What happens if an officer finds something thing other than what was originally stated he is looking for?

An officer will deal with anything he finds on your person, regardless if its not what he was originally looking for.

What happens if I have nothing illegal on me, but I'm on the wanted list?

You will be charged accordingly

What if an officer searches me with out explaining what he is looking for?

Then that evidence cannot be used against you

Should I ever call the police "po po"?

I've also noticed there was no "you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you" schtick. You might actually want to add that for RP and whiny civ reasons.

Jimmy, 5-0 is also unacceptable, pigs or bastards is acceptable. And Sovereign, you may be american IRL, but when your on our server, you like cups of tea, fish and chip and you think her majesty the queen is the most glorious woman on the planet. or else.

And you proper rights are  "You have the right to remain silent, however, it may harm your defence when questioned if you fail to mention anything you may rely on in court" . I put the idea forwards but the consensus was that might have been pushing the role-play too far... I encourage my officers to do it, but they don't need to.
