Let me rephrase this properly:Police can pull you over for anything, but they can not search you, the only time they can search you is in a police checkpoint, and if you have been seen in an illegal area like drug fields dealers processing etc, or if they have seen you with an illegal firearm which is no longer visible ie you hid it.
Mr DI Info I suggest you read the Police Handbook, tut tut and you are a DI, so no you can not search for the quoted reasons.Let me rephrase this properly:
-Police have the right to search you if you broken the law anywhere on the map.
-If your a wanted criminal, you will be searched
-Your evading a police officer trying to stop you, it gives him grounds to search you.
Well you are entitled to your opinion, their is set out times you can search someone, doing it for failure to stop for the police is ridiculous, he is wanted for speeding I know search him,I used some of the points that Info stated above to search people on previous occasions. I think that telling Info to read the police handbook in very undermining in my opinion...
