Police pay and Gear

Do police get everything for free(Vehicles, Weapons and Gear) and only have to spend out on things they want when off duty & normal Civ things or do they have to pay for their own Guns, Ammo, Attachments ect.

Everything is free, the only thing you’ll find yourself paying for nowadays especially with these water coolers and fridges is money to reward people for RP or being friendly with police. Note: There are a few items in our market that still cost.

Yes the items in all whitelisted factions you get for freeeee! We still have to pay for our food and drink (DISGRACEFUL!) But thats about it

As @Saul Goodman said, the Police get everything free (equipment and vehicles) whilst on duty, as it is necessary for them to their job. They don't get to keep the vehicles or equipment off duty, however, so if a cop logs into the civ slot they have to pay for everything just like everyone else.

Yes, exactly the same. Both NHS and Police are given "government issued" equipment as part of their job.

The ranks, in the beginning, show what stage of your training you are in (i.e. Student). You then progress up the ranks with commitment and showing that you know what you're doing. The higher you want to get, the more effort you need to put in to get there (such as by helping newer members, organising NHS events in game, etc.). Higher ranks can overrule lower ranks, and essentially tell them what to do, although generally higher ranks will just give guidance or advice.

you have to pay for your own food so the doughnut addicts dont make altis bankrupt

Student --> First Aider --> Paramedic --> Surgeon --> Doctor --> Consultant --> Chief Medical Officer

I think its round 19k.

Yes, you tend not to last very long on Server Two in Kavala so within 10-20mins after leaving the Kavala Police Station you tend to literally get initiated on very quickly. As for Server One its more every 30-60mins round, but its all very situational of course.
