Police ignoring calls and saying nothing

I found today that on 2 occasions the police just ignore calls. I was also run over by a police officer who then denied it and laughed at me.

I also heard extreme racism being spoken - wrote to admins and was ignored.

I saw shooting in the green zone and no cops for 15 mins.

So I thought I'd apply to be an officer and spent sometime filling in the application form only to have a once sentence response from someone which didn't specify what needed to be done to make the app stronger.

There is a need for quality policing and it isn't there. The system you have and the skills being used by the people picking through the apps is flawed. They aren't sorting the wheat from the chaff.

I expect some troll will just think I'm sore about being 'denied' in my application. I'm am disappointed for sure, I like the server - but if there is no way for it be true RPG then I probably should stop whining and move on - right.

is this the general advice?

I would suggest joining the Teamspeak server and speaking to an SI+ concerning the police issues that you've encountered. I personally would be very interested.

As for the racism, the best way to deal with that would be to collect evidence and post a ban request on the person(s).

We get a lot of dispatch calls of "We need help" but the location of the caller is not included, without the knowledge of the caller's location we cannot respond.

Also was the reply "Denied needs more detail" then you may want to read my thread here:

The callers location is now there as a gridref

Problem solved revolving around the Application, please read your PM's. I would advise you to open a Report a Player post revolving around the other issues you have experienced. We do not tolerate racisim or take it lightly here.

Thanks - looked at your link. Sadly it wasn't relevant to my app as I wrote a good chunk of concise text.

Thank you. It was witnessed by many. I intend to stream all gaming from police starter onwards so will record it and upload it and submit. I'm a regular YouTuber and vlogger so it will be unedited - although I will create a time link to the incident.

There is a group who have the word "niggas" in their gang name. It's these guys who were causing the abuse.

Thanks for accepting my app too - appreciate it.

As Bob said where is your report?
In game, for new players suffering from unruly people spoiling the fun, there is no process. On top of having their gaming spoilt, a 10 min report form requires dedicated server regulars. New people just leave and go elsewhere.

What's the process for non regular users? Suck it up or call a cop?

I did the latter.

Please try and be helpful rather than scold people who can't be expected to know a groups process it puts them off from the start. Luckily I'm made of sterner stuff and am liking the admins attitude a lot! Glad to be here.

Clicked the grid reference box... Do I need to do more?

Yup I'll do that. Thx. Can I just check the age groups that are being allowed to play? I've heard some very young sounding people witnessing some pretty strong language. I also see a guy is replying to this thread claiming to be only 10yrs.

ARMA 3 is a 16+ game.

Quoted from the rules:

We are very proud to be an Adult community. It certainly doesn't mean you have to be over 18 to play here however you will find a lot of our members are. We respect the younger people and elders in our community and no discrimination will be tolerated.

We expect people to show respect, act like an adult, and if there is a disagreement then disagree in a noble and adult manner.
Vacatio is not 10 years old either.

I would just like to clarify that I was following the application process and templates given to me as I am new to the team. The templates and coaching given to me was different to what it apparently should have been and I did not know this.

Therefore I have to disagree with your point of the application team being flawed as all the correct links and coaching has been supplied by @Ciaran.

@Fluctibus Fludd You seem like a generally nice guy, let me know if you make it through your interview, and I'll take you on some CSO training if I get a chance before you do your module 2.
