Police are not helping me at all ?

So i have called the police on two separate occasions now because someone has tried to rob me and on they have arrived on time to save me both times. But when they arrive they take no action and don't arrest or even put the suspected thief in there car. In both occasions they thief has managed to steal my truck right under the polices nose, even when the suspected thief has an illegal assault rifle on there back they have not been detained. Recently i was at the copper trader and the person who had stolen my truck was driving around, luckily there were like 5 police officers there so i told them.... no joke they told me to leave the area and refused to do anything about the guy in my truck. What is going on?

The thing is when you call and tell someone tried to rob you with pistol how you assume that we can take anyone to prison or give a ticket when there is A. person claiming that person B tried to rob him when Person B tells he did not do anything he was let's say bird watching there is not much we can do without any actual proof it's only word against word at that point. All we can do is try to investigate situation within roleplay and try to find solution to your case.

There would need to be evidence for police to have the rights to take action (seeing the crime with their own eyes). Although an illegal rifle would hint that they are indeed attempting to  rob you, quite a lot of the time they turn out to be harmless players or just showboating their hobo guns.. Do your shit whilst the police have the guy busy and ask for an escort if possible to the nearest cash machine/city. They'll probably leave half way through but it's better than nothing.

To be fair to @Caz1402 if they guy had an illegal assault rifle visible, even if there's no evidence that he was robbing the guy, that weapon should have been confiscated and a ticket issued for the offence.  If it wasn't visible, then the officers should have restrained the suspect and searched him since they'd have reasonable suspicion to believe he 'may' have been involved in a robbery.

With regards to the stolen truck, again, the officers would have been able to easily identify who the truck belonged to and dealt with it accordingly. Though we do get a lot of bogus claims, we still have a duty to investigate.

Caz, I would suggest you record these type of interactions. I don't recommend you post them publicly because the officers may have had good reasons for their actions and naming and shaming us never a positive way forward. Contact an SGT+ and we'll review the video. It might be that some training is needed for the officers involved.
