I've been waiting nearly a week for an answer to my police application. 

Don't trying to make it go faster, just wondering how long will it take.

You should have been answered within 24 hours from the moment you applied. I'm sure the answer should be right at your door step

@SpratYour application has been denied. As said you should have been told when the decision was made. You can Re apply in 8 days time.
