Points removed after time on drivers licence

Hi! I was informed recently that is you were to get points on you licence they wont go away with time as they do in real life. That is limiting my RP experience personally. Today from what i have heard you are able to get up to 20 points on your licence. And if you drive your own cars without a licence the police can crush your owned cars. And in order to get the licence back today you have to go through court to be able to get it back. And court times are really full right now, i have personally been waiting 26 days for mine IRL. And to go without driving your cars for 25+ days might make players feel bored of the city and everything inbetween. I suggest a time where you have to behave in traffic and not make a single violation during a amount of time (not counting the traffic cams). Maybe 3 days IRL of good driving or maybe 1 week. Its up for the community to decide.

I was given 8 points out of my 20 for speeding and going through a red light and told the same today.

I admitted to the officer I was in the wrong but was surprised for the level of punishment vs what I had been seen to do. but it is what it is at the time. However I am always seeing police drive dangerously and when I was a police officer there was little consequences for driving poorly. I've raised it with a Sgt in character and it will get brought up at the next meeting, but yeah, for them to permanently stay on record is a bit of a concern considering any car I drive while on a driving ban gets immediately crushed? Even IRL things aren't that strict.

It just takes the biscuit that since that happened today I've seen a police car spin out of control at speed, another mount a pavement to overtake traffic at a crazy speed hitting a local, another blast through red lights almost causing a collision. There's no easy way to identify who the officer is, there are no telematics data available to command to help identify the driver of vehicles and as such officers will continue to get away with it. Where do you draw the line? Get ID's and report them for Fail Driving everytime?

Additionally, I wonder if the distribution of points/fines is consistent across the force. If I was given 8 points for what I was seen to do, surely failing to stop for police and continuous dangerous driving would see instant bans?

Your post reads as I would expect if I stopped for police 9/10. I only stop if I think police will be lenient... If not, good luck catching me. I love a chase, and I dunno if I'd even stay in the city without a license.

Around the city, depending on what's going on, I enjoy driving safe and proper but it really trashes that immersion when someone (particularly a cop car) plows into the back of you, or scrapes by your car at 100mph going past Legion.

The driving issue is one that needs to be resolved over all. When imports first came into the city, every junction was a wreck with cars smashing head on at 170mph. That doesn't happen as often, and we now have people slowing down at junctions, checking for police etc and running red lights 'safely' but 8 points for what you did is madness! I've been caught evading police at high speeds and I didn't receive a single point. I was in a chase because I cut a speed camera as well. Police need standards, so that people aren't being bullied or unfairly treated.

You can argue your points via court rp.
