Plans on Upgrading Server / VOIP

Just a question regarding the future of the server,

Are there any plans on upgrading the server in the future? Obviously the server is very popular and the server cap itself is already very high and was just wondering if that's something you guys will be looking to do? It's really painful participating in wars, races, events when there's so many people. De-sync issues are very noticeable especially when someone is in the car with you, you don't crash on your screen but you do for the other person, cars break down even if you don't hit anything etc, you guys probably know all that already.

And will VOIP ever be changed? I know whatever FiveM provides for VOIP is bad and just wondering if you guys will ever work on a solution yourselves to fix the constant breakups?

Thanks

we already use something that isn't based fivem just fivem supports it. It's a lot better than before and always looking at how to improve

I'm not asking about the server cap to be increased, I'm asking if there is plans for the server to be upgraded as in more powerful hardware. The server has been very laggy for a while with de-sync being more and more recognizable.

some of them issues are fivem and client issues

before anyone comes out with this server that server don't have that. They are probably whitelisted and don't have peoples nans hitting every object on the road causing issues created by fivem with falling lights or invisible objects

Desync will always appear at some point and as long as its not a big crowed or sudden change it works well for me

I can't remember who said it, but the limitation isn't necessarily the hardware.

FiveM is often the culprit for much of the desync. I remember 3 or so years ago having a server that had awful synchronisation issues at 32 players, with AI cars all over the place and other players becoming laggy. The resources the server used never peaked beyond 60%. The amount of work done with the FiveM team to allow what we have now is remarkable - but it's not perfect.

VOIP originally ran on the FiveM server, but now runs on a separate server all together to share the load and bandwidth. What is used now is an open source solution called Mumble and as such has been integrated into FiveM by the FiveM developers (judging by the fact the natives created are mumble specific). The alternative would need hard coding into FiveM to replace Mumble, which is out of the scope of what developers can do here.

With the framework and scripts the devs do have control over, I know they're always looking to keep things optimised, so to put the minimal amount of load on the server and bandwidth. but sometimes I guess there are times where it might choke slightly or a particular set of circumstances causes the server to not perform as well. I don't think it's terrible but I do find that I collide with cars that I do not see I hit by some distance quite often within the past couple of weeks.
