Ping spikes..any ideas?

So have been enjoying the thrills and spills of Altislife.co.uk for some time and the excellent Rp most of the time.

But last couple of days i try and join and my ping jumps from 40/70 to anything like 600/1000 as i try and join lobby causing either lost connection or kicked for crazy high ping.

 I have checked my ping ,my internet speed and width ...Restarted and reset router and pc ,scanned crunched and verified data but still no joy.

Anyone got any ideas on what is causing me to join server at 50 ping for it to shoot up to 900 and have a fix?

Tis the holidays, most likely problem is bad contention ratio.

All the kids are at home streaming YouTube etc etc

When did you start getting problems?

Alot of isp's prioritise speed checker websites, try not to rely on them
