In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

First I want to make some things clear. I was banned by Rutheless on 30-07-2018. Im installing the game atm but my internet connection is slow so i takes some time.
I was banned for RDM/VDM. The reason i did this was because I was bussy graduating from school. But i was spending to much time on arma. I was somewhat addicted to it . To focus myself on the most important thing (graduating) I had to stop playing arma. The only reason I found that worked was breaking rules so I get a perm ban. Well at least I graduated but that doesnt mean it was acceptable to break the rules! It was verry stupid because i didnt think of the long term, where in the future i might have time to play some arma. So I want to apologize in the first place. I graduated and am now working an have a lot free time besides the work. I really enjoyed the time on the UK servers so that is why I would like to go back.

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

Finishing my study and looking for a job. took a while but finally got one.

Why do you want to return ?

I remembered I had a lot of fun on the uk servers. there are not many servers that are well balanced/fun as uk altis. this is why i would like to join the server again

Why should we unban you ?

I understand the rules of the servers and wich rules I broke. I understand that the reason i broke the rules (above) is still unacceptable. As I said I was kinda addicted to arma in a way that it interupted me from graduating. I had 2 servers (altis uk and gta) where i had most of the stuff. so I was only playing on these servers. how bad it may sound, at that time causing a ban so focus on school, felt like the only solution. And to be really honest I have mixed feelings. On one hand I think it was a good choice because i didnt play arma a single second after the ban and i got graduated. On the other hand i feel bad breaking the rules for it on the server. And as i am typing i am thinking of the fact that it mayby would even be better to just ask a admin if he could ban me a certain time if I explain the situation. Right now I work and am not in this type of graduating situation anymore. Also next time i wont break the rules but instead try to contact an admin and ask how to handle with the situation instead of doing such stupid thing to break the rules. I understand that altough it worked for graduating there are better solutions to apply. even uninstalling would have been a better option but thats something i tried before

Having a read of this appeal you're claiming that you got banned on purpose to curb an "addiction" however looking at the previous appeal and your history on our server I would say you didn't get banned on purpose you are just rubbish at following our rules.

So what is actually going on here with you ? @Thymen

First I want to explain the overall bad behavior. A lot of times I would take to much risk (mostly with vehicle action like taking over, speeding etc which led to a lot of crashes.). I think most of my warnings and stuff are about VDM because I took to much risk even when I knew how glitch vehicles can be in arma. And also I would do stupid over the edge things

I got banned on gta and altis uk and i did it so i could focus on school. But I forgot that on altis uk it went a bit different. So as I said in that appeal I thought it was about another situation. I really don't know that exact situation that got me banned (what i also said in that appeal). But as the time of the ban is also when I was busy with school I assumed I did the same thing as on gta servers. Wich at the and bad behavior in that period of time would be because wanted to focus on school since I had the "I shouldn't play arma" feeling a long time in that period.

The reason I want to go back on the server because Ive thought trough on where it went wrong and I think I understand what went wrong:

1: Unable to handle my arma addiction in a way that I don't have to break server rules

2: Play without a purpose ingame wich lead to boredom and that resulted in bad behavior (taking to much risk, doing stupid stuff etc). I was planning on joining groups but the 2 I tried really sucked because of the very strict hierarchy.

3: Often play with random hobo's and do crazy stuf that was not allowed or could lead to something that is not allowed. not to blame the hobo''s but here i created an environment that might have motivated to go to far.

I think this is what goes wrong in general. Besides this I had a lot of very good/fun/legal time on the server and it is for these moments that I want to go back. I think that by understanding what went wrong I can actually improve myself. Also I have to say that besides trying to get banned to focus on school, I never intentionally break the rules. Its not that I join the server and think "fuck it im going to vdm" or "lets ram the shit out of him with my suv". It really was because I was not careful enough and took to much risk/ stupid high risk actions. I hope I answered your question!

@Thymen So when it comes around to focusing on something else again... how are you going to handle things differently?

I realize that what I did was not right! So what I learned is that this not the way to handle with a situation where I need to focus on other things. I also spend less time on gaming so I dont think "focusing on other things" would be a problem. Because the homework is gone + got more free time.

Putting your last ban aside @Thymen, I don't think you will last long if you go down the same paths as you did before.

We will give you another go but I suggest reading all our rules then taking the Roleplay slowly at the start to make sure you stay unbanned.
