In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

I was banned for calling someone a 'phaggot'. I believe this was taken as offensive, however it wasn't meant like this. The person themselves did not take offence and it was an admin who banned me. I have spelt it as 'phaggot' intentionally as I wasn't using the homophobic terminology I was referencing the food. It is confusing I see that but I am not the type of person to be disrespectful of anyone as I have my own floors. We are all human! The player had been following us around from Telos and RDMing us and on about the 5th time in Kavala I killed him and made the reference. It was done in jest and as I chose to use the food terminology I didn't think it was offensive. However as the hearing of the word cannot be differentiated from the spelling I can understand why it was taken as offensive and will not be using word play in the future to be funny.

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

It has not been 6 months. I have spoken to staff lead Aiden on teamspeak on the 19/10/2019 and he advised me to put an unban appeal in after hearing what I had to say.

Why do you want to return ?

I would like to return as I have been a member of the island since 2015. I have over 4 years experience and love the community. I have not made reference like this in the past as I do not like to cause offense to others over a game as it it pointless. Yes I was angry about being RDM'd multiple times, hell I even think I told him to fuck off a few times because he was following us round! I mean who wouldn't be angry after being RDM'd. I believe that the mass uban was a good idea, however I believe some players such as this, need to re-read the rules as he kept RDMing us after we hinted that he couldnt do that. The player himself who RDM'd us was not banned which confuses me as I know a number of the people there can vouch that it was clear RDM as the police let me go after killing him infront of them. This concerns me as the person who originally broke the rules got away with it, however like I said we are only human and mistakes happen. I want to return to conitinue to be a part of the community and to continue helping it develop and grow.

Why should we unban you ?

I believe you should unban me as I was not trying to be malicious or offensive and am apologetic that Deleter took it this way. I will not use word play in attempts to be funny in the future as the can be misconstrued as this situation has revealed. I am long standing member on the island who has always tried to follow the rules and help new players. I am apologetic if Deleter took offense or if anyone else did as that was not my intention. Please let me know if I can do anything to help in the future.

Fucking hell... what a story! Just admit that you called him a faggot... you understand this is against the rules, you wont ever do it again and we move on ? Rather than a story about some meatballs for poor people!

Hi Wilco,

Thank you for replying to my post.

I was angry at the player and tired, however my intention was not to call him a homophobic reference. I was referencing the food it an attempt on wordplay. So to an extent yes I did call him a faggot without directly calling him it as I was trying to be smart and funny while also being pissed off. I am sorry for this and will not do it again. Of course I know the rules after being here for so long and I am genuinely sorry and of course it will not happen again!

@rossatron99 This is as bad as the people that come here and say "Nick Gurs" or "Nigga" we know what there saying ... they shouldn't be saying it... learn it will get you banned permanently and that's that rather than some silly story about food or playing on words in an attempt to claim innocence, it fools no one!

Now the notes say the members in attendance (the police) asked you not to say that and your response was "I don't care" ... Now your banned all of a sudden you care ?

The 'I don't care' was in relation to me saying in game 'hes RDM' in game because people said you shouldn't say that! Which they are correct, but if I am in restraints for killing someone who is Random Death Matching and saving a bunch of people I will say why I killed the player and I did in game because I do not wish to be punished for this. However this broke character, which I should not have done, however the scene was very chaotic and I was trying to resolve the issue.

Of course I would care if I was being offensive. I should not have used the term faggot and I apologise and realise the extent of the punishment, I have learnt from this and will not be doing it again, permanently.

If I did not care I would have gotten myself permanently banned before years ago, why would I still be here and playing? Those notes are being taken out of context as to what I 'care' about. I hope my long term commitment to the server and my time here supports what I am saying in relation to caring as I am still here after 4 years.

@rossatron99 Thanks for your responses, I will mark this down as a one off but hoping there is a lesson learnt here.

Do not rise to any situation in-game... continue until the interactions are over then deal with it off the server if you still feel strongly about a situation after some time to reflect.

I have marked on your file that a rule that carry's a permanent ban as been breached, on this occasion you will be unbanned however in future do not say such words again, on the next appeal for it we wont be able to resolve it so easy.
