In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

I was given the community ban back in 2015, and i was before that point. Part of a gang by the name of "EXP". The gang had in general committed an offence against the server. As far as i still remember, it was because of advertising and for using another teamspeak server instead of the teamspeak server to this community. I cant remember every detail exactly as this was a few years ago. But in the last day of our gang. Someone had found out that an admin had found out the teamspeak server adress to our gang. And when this was known to everyone. At a certain point someone came up to everyone in one channel to ask them to change their names to something about "Wilco".

I will admit it now, that after the gang had recieved the blanket ban a bit earlier that day, i had consumed a few beers. And by the time the person asked us to change our names on teamspeak, i was at a point where i was sober. I can agree on the fact that this sounds like something idiotic someone would do. But i consumed a few beers mainly to just calm down a bit after the confusion of the blanket ban and other things that was happening at that point. I am telling this because, i was one of the many other people to change my name on that teamspeak server. And what i changed my name to back then, i am still regretting this day today.

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

In the last few years, i should say to be more precise. Its mainly been in real life situations, where it has been focused on work, and other situations. Its been both up and downtimes, but i should say that all in all, there has not been much to do on arma in itself. As after i recieved my ban a few years ago. It hasnt been the same, not without playing on this community. Which is the main reason i started to get the interest of arma itself. I have not been much of a combat person, ive been more of a roleplay person to say it the least.

In general, it has been sort of less arma, but i still play it every now and then. But at these point of my life im focusing on work and other real life issues/ situations which is taking up more of my time to play video games, as i used to do alot before.

Why do you want to return ?

After i recieved the community ban a few years ago. It has not been the same playing arma as it used to be when i played on the servers on this community. All the good times on this community is the main reason i started to get the interest of arma. As this was the first server and community i played on when i started playing arma.

After i was issued the ban back in 2015, i tried to find a new server to find my place in. But no server was as good, fun and enjoyable as this community. Mainly because this server is a serious roleplay server, and there is not many servers out there that focuses on serious roleplay compared to this community. And my general point, is that i want to come back to this community i was once part of, and start off my roleplay experience again.

Why should we unban you ?

After beeing community banned for the last few years. I've had thoughts about this community most of the times when ive been playing arma. And i would think of myself as an idiot for being abusive towards a member of staff. I can agree on the fact that i was being an un-mature person back when i recieved the ban. But i honestly think these last few years has changed me as a person compared to when i recieved the punishment. My personality now is better compared to how it was back when i was toxic and abusive before recieving the community ban.

You have been very upfront in this appeal which will do you credit but how can I be confident in trusting you now? Many of these people who were banned still hold deeper rooted hate for this community and any association you have with them could risk you acting in that way again. Explaining your association with the people involved in the blanket would be useful and while it would not guarantee a denial by any means, I need to see that your thinking is different from theirs and you have matured over the last year and a half.

You acted on your previous posts as though we owe you something. You are the one who made your bed and if you think you want to come back, you have to convince us you are going to be of benefit to this community. You can talk about your personality being much better but try and convince me of it. What do you intend on doing if you are allowed to return in terms of the factions you may join or the direction you may take with your RP? I'm looking for detail. If you truly believe you are worthy of a reconsideration when you were told you would never return, show me that you care.

As this was nearly 2 years ago, i haven`t been in any sort of contact with these guys from the faction i was part of. As of the day we got the blanket ban, most of us just separated our own ways. Some may have quit arma 3 completely, some chose to go to a different server and some people even chose to make an un-ban appeal in the hopes to get back to this server. And so was my thought aswell, to get back to the server. I actually did get unbanned at my very first appeal, but once i made an appeal to get unbanned from the teamspeak server. It went into another direction, because the day we got banned, we changed our names on our teamspeak server. Because one of of the members of the gang, had found out that a member of staff had found our teamspeak server. So when we found out that, most of us changed the names to something about Wilco. Because most of the guys hated him for giving the entire gang a blanket ban. For me personally, i would think that i changed my anme because of stupidity and becuase i didnt see what the consequences could be if i changed my name on that teamspeak server, because in the first place the only rule we broke back then was to use another teamspeak server. Which i know for a fact was not tolerated by the staff of RPUK back then.

If we go back to a few days after being part of the gang. I only made a few friends from the gang back then. But in my eyes this was mainly people being older than me and some maybe younger. But their personality was good enough for me to have a decent conversation sometimes. As i was only a recruit in their gang back then i wouldnt have considered myself to have been seen that much by them. As i would sometimes feel like i was below everyone and not noticed, since i was just a recruit. And i had some thoughts afterwards if i made a good choice to join this gang. At the end of the day, i sometimes think it was a bad idea, not for the reason of being banned for using another teamspeak server. But the fact that i could have changed by joining another gang that wasn`t that big as the gang i was part of. Because the reason i joined this gang was because i was kicked from the police a few days before i joined them. I was kicked from the police for playing as a rebel back then. For me i just wanted to get the feeling of playing as a rebel again, but as this was not acceptable in the police. I made a bad choice, and i will admit, i loved playing as a police officer, i was part of the police a total of 3 times i believe. And it made my roleplay experience better and my time on the server better aswell.

Before i joined the gang a few months earlier, i met with another civ in Kavala. We had a good roleplay together, and decided to make a gang by the name of "ESA". This gang was never seen as a big gang. But most of our members threated us like friends. Where we could have a laugh everyday. But my general point of this is that after having this gang up for a few months, one of our guys and me wanted  to join the police, then the leader of "EXP" showed up to our channel, as our gangs were allies to each other. Their leader asked one of my freinds from in real life which had joined my gang. If he would like to be part of their gang if our gang was to get disbanded, which it did after i joined the police. My friend never accepted the invite, even tho he could join at anytime he would like.

For me personaly, i would see myself as i have changed since back then. Because, after i was banned, i didnt have the bother to play that much arma anymore, as i would focus more about real life, and finish high school, so i could start to look for a place to start my apprenticeship. It took me about a year to make a contract with a company at the end. But what i did for one year, is that i worked for about 5 months and the rest of my time being at home helping my parents. The other 7 months of that year i used to practice and learn to get my drivers license, as this was a thing for me to complete to get from point A to B in my life. Even with a few fails on the drivers test ive learned that we all make a few mistakes and fails in our lifes, and most of it can only be achieved by practicing. Which is what i did in that time. So to end it of, at this point of my life im now an apprentice for an engineering company, and i will be working with this company for another 2 years before i can try to achieve my certificate of apprenticeship.

I want to point out that i have had only positive thoughts about this community since the first day i joined. Since arma 3 and roleplay was all new to me, i had to learn this by time. And it took me a good few months before i was able to learn the basics of roleplay, even tho i wont see myself as a high quality roleplayer, i am still inbetween with my roleplay experience in my opinion. And this community has shown one of the best roleplayers in the time i was able to play on the server. And i would love to come back to the amazing roleplay, and all the fun that may come with it.

You have been upfront and shown great effort. On top of this, you have waited a long time without causing issues. I don't see any reason to not give you a chance. If you let me down, you won't be returning to take this chance to really understand the rules and talk to staff on teamspeak if you need any advise.
