In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

A few years back I was part of EXP 'Exiles of Purgatory' gang and the entire gang was blanket banned. Some of us had very little to do with what was actually happening and others more so. I was the admin of the gang at the time the events occurred hence why I was also banned.

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

Been in and out of hospital many times for personal reasons and not played Arma at all, just been playing different games.

Why do you want to return ?

I enjoy the RP from this community, the whole reason I joined and became a regular in the first place a few years ago. After 1500 hrs of playing mostly on ALUK, I actually like the quality of RP from here. Also I have friends who play here and I would like to join them. Got so many good memories here and would like to relive them.

Why should we unban you ?

A number of things happened at the time most of which I don't remember the exact details of. However the main reason I was banned was because I was an admin of the gang hence whatever my members did, I was seen as a party to.

Whatever the case, it's been some 2 years now and life has moved on as has this community. I see that all the bad apples (that I knew including my own gang members) have already left, therefore I'd like to humbly request an unban so that I can be part of this community again.

I can't say I ever seen you around, I was there for the last part of when EXP got blanket banned so i knew a couple of people.

However, not yourself. 

I'd like to start of by asking what made you take so long to appeal this ban? I'm sure at the time if you had no involvement in the blanket ban other than being a gang admin, you would of defended your corner and appealed right?

Firstly, sincere apologies for adding another comment, didn't realise until after I had posted the 2nd comment that it could be seen as bumping.

Secondly, there isn't any particular reason as to why I have taken so long... I guess if there was a reason as to why I had taken so long to appeal was because straight after the ban, I decided to take a break from gaming. I then came back and started playing Reign of Kings, then went on to ARK when it was released. Played that for while along with CSGO, then I was in and out of hospital as mentioned above and didn't game much.  Started playing again when Conan Exiles released recently and caught myself RP'ing with someone. It reminded me of some funny RP situations with other people on ALUK servers. Then recently I reunited with @Jeffrey and we were reminiscing about the good old RP days on ALUK servers.  He said he is playing again and I really want to join him and the community again.

Towards the end I wasn't as active but I was gang admin along with Jeffrey but hardly played at the time.

I have received a couple of messages from community about yourself regarding the type of person who you was in our community, I respect their opinions and judgement about you as I've heard good things in terms of Roleplay. However during the next couple of days I will be gathering some information regarding the whole EXP Blanket ban to ensure that you wasn't involved as you say you was, I hope you understand, this is my job to scrutinize through these appeals to ensure a right decision is made.

Meanwhile, whilst we wait can you explain to me why;

 Why is it important that we enforce a strict set of rules in a roleplay community, and what effects do they have on others?

All good gaming communities have rules that need to be adhered to, and on the most part, the rules are refined and enforced as the communities grows.  In roleplay environments those rules are more elaborate, clearly defined and even more important. These also need to be strictly enforced for the simple fact that if they are not, the community as a whole suffers and it falls apart.

The most important part of enforcing strict rules is that each and every rule applies to each and every individual, no matter who they are.  A lot of time and effort goes into building a roleplay community and if it’s not strictly policed (not in RP terms) then all that goes to waste, players become irritated and annoyed, community becomes toxic and then…well you know the rest.

If you was to be unbanned, what would you plan of action be in terms of your future on roleplay.co.uk I.e (Civ, nhs, friend's ect ect) 

Since my lack of information, can I be assured that I won't regret my decision to only find out you may have played a big part in the blanket ban? 

Due to the fact that this ban was a really long time ago, does give the majority of people to dispute anything that they have done in the past.

Due to not playing for a while I think I will start off by doing normal civilian jobs with some friends (@Simen, @Singh & @Jeffrey), familiarizing myself, familiarizing myself with the gameplay and then hopefully later down the line I would like to rejoin the NHS at some point if possible as I use to find it an awesome opportunity to RP with a variety of characters. 

As for assurances @Drew I can guarantee to you that I had no bigger part to play than what I have already described.  If anything, I will not be running any gangs, but rather will be rolling as a civ (probably not even as a rebel since I like to RP more and less of the “pewpew”).

Great, I hope down the line I won't be regretting any decisions made here, you seem to have a good group of friend's you wish to rejoin here, with this in mind, please familiarise yourself on the current rule set as a lot has changed since your time away.
