In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

I believe I was banned for copying the rules text from roleplay uk onto my own website. I was still new to web development and wanted to see how the page would look like with rules on it.

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

Well the past year I've been really focusing on bettering myself. I know this will sound weird, but I'm actually glad that I received a ban, It let me drift away from gaming for a while and focus on bettering myself and my school work. For the past year I've been learning a lot of new things such as different programming languages, physics, different languages and I've been reading a lot. Since i've been banned, I've had a lot of time in my hands and because of that i've managed to improve my grades drastically. I have looked into some new hobbies and started learning to play the piano and have been a member of my local voluntary fire department for the past two months now. I worked really hard and got into the school I wanted to study in and I've currently become very interested in physics and have been thinking of studying astrophysics in the future. Slowly but surely, I've started playing games again and have been learning programming of robotics. With this time i've also become more athletic, started going to the gym and running regularly.

Why do you want to return ?

A friend of mine has recently started playing on roleplay uk again and suggested that I should come too. I had forgotten that I was banned so thats why im here, anyway. I believe I've learned from my mistakes, though not a big one, a mistake nonetheless. The reason why I want to return is because i've been reminiscing on some old memories of roleplaying on the server and have started to miss those times of playing my favourite gamemode and roleplaying with different and unique people.

Why should we unban you ?

I believe I should be unbanned because the rule I unknowingly and stupidly broke, I didn't break with ill-intent of stealing or using someone elses work. I had just turned 15 and didn't fully understand what I was doing and that I was possibly going to receive a punishment for it. I've had a lot of time to reflect on my past mistakes and have come far from the old me. I'm no longer that same 15 year old guy who acted first and thought after, I've changed a lot and I'm happy that I have. I haven't taken this ban as a punishment, but as an opportunity for me to reflect and better myself for my and everyones sake. If I am to be unbanned, I will do everything in my power to abstain from breaking any rules. If I am to stay banned, I respect the decision and know that you are only thinking about what's best for the community. Thank you for the amazing year of roleplaying and meeting amazing people. Well sorry to break it to you ... but that's what you do when you copy and paste our entire rules, Yeah nearly all UK communities have since we created the original set in 2014, it just says a lot about you as a person and your efforts, We are the only place that enforces all our rules

You really are not going to fool me with the "I just wanted to see how the page would look with rules in it.."

Well, I don't really know what to tell you since I am telling the truth.

My intentions we're to see how it looks like since I was creating the website before I wrote my own rules, I had a lot of school work coming up so I stopped for a bit and focused more on that, stopped development of my website in general and never removed them. With the mountain of school work and programming, I went down the bad road,  took the lazy way out, the stealing way and commited something I'm still ashamed of. I stole the text and do realize It was a scummy thing to do. I know I would be upset If i worked hard on something only for it to be stolen by someone else. That's why I stepped away from gaming and let myself have more time to better myself.

I know you or all the people that worked their arse off on those rules may not forgive me, but all I'm asking for is a second chance. I know I'm better than that and know I can prove it.

@LaCroxyy_UNBAN mmm its an hard one, you seem to associate yourself with a few banned players, some of them have been racist, I can only assume at this stage it is bullshit as no proper decent web developer would use other peoples content to see how something looks, Its a shitty thing to do and it will also give your site an automatic duplicate content penalty in google.

The forums where you put our rules are still up and you're still listed as "management" and "dev"... so it really is hard to gauge what your future intentions might be in regards to returning to the player base and having access to the forums here.

Right now its a no, but feel free to try again when you have straightened things out.
