In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was banned for saying the N word while mass RDMing Poseidon at their weekly meeting.
What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?
Getting on with studies, going gym and playing a bit of squad and insurgency.
Why do you want to return ?
I would like to return due to old players coming back to the community from the mass unban. My actions that led me to become banned were unneeded and irresponsible on my part. Frustrated that some of my friends were getting banned just for being in a teamspeak channel, I decided to go mass RDM. On reflection this was not the right way to go about things, and instead i should have had a conversation with staff to gain more insight about the team speak situation, in which I would have realised some of the bans were logical.
Me shouting the N word is derogatory and racist, however I didn’t see it like that at the time due to me coming from a southern-Asian North-African background, in which the use of the word is ‘socially acceptable’ in conversation with other people from my background. However, I fully appreciate and understand that it’s not acceptable to be saying this word on the server and I apologise for any offence caused.
Why should we unban you ?
Contrary to my recent actions, I believe I can provide high quality role play and interactions. Towards the end of my time on RPUK, I spent quite a lot of time role playing as medic, something I thoroughly enjoyed. I do realise that if I’m unbanned il probably be blacklisted from all factions however I hope to continue my ‘medic duties’ in a civ role, role playing as St Johns ambulance.
