In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

I was at advanced rebel. We decided that it would be easier for all of us (Captain + allys) if i made a Discord server and everyone was to join that and we could use that as our communication room instead of always changing from group chat to direct/vehicle all of the time. I had made the discord it was named "Roleplay.co.uk" I then sent the link to the discord server to The other member of captain and ally's. After i had sent the links to them using Direct/Message with using a "//" i change the name of the discord from "roleplay.co.uk" as i thought it wouldn't look right to "Captain". I think i was banned as i sent a message in ooc advertising a link to a discord server

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

I was informed I could bypass the 6 month waiting list. I though I could just make a normal appeal but I was wrong so I'm sending it in here. Sorry about that.

Why do you want to return ?

I would like to return because Roleplay.co.uk in my opinion is the best role-playing community. Compared to others which feel like semi-roleplay or sometimes not even any Roleplay. I know what I did was wrong and I take full responsibility for it. I play on Roleplay.co.uk everyday and I've enjoyed it a lot and I don't want it to end here. I have also made a large amount of friends who I do not wish to lose. In my opinion Roleplay.co.uk is the best role-playing server and I wouldn't want my journey here to end so soon.

Why should we unban you ?

The reason that i think i should be unbanned is because it would not happen again. I should of thought about what i was putting in ooc before i had put it there. If i did so then this situation would not of been caused. As you are also a very large community people take advantage of that and i should also know that considering the fact i owned one of the largest communities on "Garry's Mod". It was a mistake on my behalf and should not of happened. I should of used some other form of communication to get them to join the discord server that did not include Roleplay.co.uk.

I have enjoyed my time on roleplay.co.uk and i do not wish for it all to come to an end now. I hope you would be able to unban me and i can assure you that none of this would ever happen again.

The rule that i had broken ;
(13) Advertising - Advertising any of the following services* on our servers/website/teamspeak or social media groups without permission is bannable without appeal;

The reason that i think this rule was put into place would be because you are a very large community and people advertising on your server would 1 annoy people, and 2 could make you lose your players. This is completely understandable and this would not happen again in anytime in the future.

There's only 1 reason why someone would name a server "Roleplay.co.uk" then start advertising that server, not only was it against our rules it was a deceitful act

The real question is what was you trying to gain what was the end goal for this discord and what content was on it.

I named it quickly to resemble what the discord is about and then about 5 minutes later changed if to "Captain". The only gain from using the discord is that we don't have to constantly change from group to direct all of the time. That was the reason for the creation of the discord and the only reason. The discord was only sent to a handful of people. Members of Captain and our allys. Nobody was being mislead in anyway. All the people who got sent the discord knew full well what it is which was communication room for Captain. There was no goal for the discord. Is was just the fact of making communication ease of use. I am more than happy to give you access to all of the text channels in the discord. I am also more than happy to provide you with a link to the discord if you do not have it on record already. You can see all of the channels as none of them are hidden. Just some or inaccessible to enter as they are related to e.g "gang relations" etc as we do not want other people to know what our relationships are like with other gangs. That's if said people found out our discord somehow. This discord was simply just for a communication centre for Captain + Allys and that's it. I apologise for making it Roleplay.co.uk to start off with but that's the first thing I thought of then 5 minutes later I changed it to "Captain". 

Also Meeloo joined the discord when it was first made. He saw what was in the discord when i had first made it and that would prove that it was a communication channel. I am also happy to provide the Audit log of the discord so you know things have not been changed/removed.

I can also get the members of Captain and the 2 Allys who we invited to get them to tell their side if need be. They all knew it was just a communication Discord at that is it.

I have attached a screenshot of the audit log for when i first made the discord server. you can clearly see that this completely revolves about the Captain gang and communication. I will provide the whole of the audit log if requested.

@FA Ryan Putting your discord on our servers was against the rules, calling it Roleplay.co.uk was stupid but then coming on Teamspeak with your friend with an attitude towards our staff team just took the piss.

It is easy to see why you were banned here, You should know better.

Please explain you and your friend's attitude after the ban?

@Wilco I'm sorry about my friends attitude i obviously can not talk for him and explain why he acted in that manner. 

 I listened to what the staff members had to say. I did not challenge them in anyway i respected their decision. So my attitude was calm and professional the only questions that i asked was "When will i be able to appeal?" i also informed them that i was just a communication channel. that is all. I was never disrespectful to the staff team or anybody of that sort. So in all honesty my attitude was fine. My "friend" who is not permanently banned seemed to have quite a temper. As i do not know why that is or why he did it. I came onto teamspeak to discuss about my ban as i was tabbed out at that time. it should be completely understandable for someone to come onto teamspeak to enquire about their ban. Staff members who were there at that time would know that i was being respectful to them and was listening to what they had to say and i did not challenge them or disrespect them in anyway. As stated above my friend decided to be a bit rude to them but that has no correlation to what i had said in teamspeak.

All my encounters with staff members i have been respectful and listened to what they have said. 

I understand that it was against the rules and i would make sure that it would not happen again.
