In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

I think I was banned because of the private discord server sent in chat that was originally created to play ArmA 3 battle royal with friends and now use as a general channel to play games with people was thought to be attached to a community. this server is not attached to a community

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

I went into the TeamSpeak and explained my situation and was told by a staff member that I should file a perm unban appeal now because it was not specified how long my ban was. this was the staff member that told me https://www.roleplay.co.uk/profile/22013-sonder/.

Why do you want to return ?

I love this server and most of my friends are still very active on it. I was constantly checking my last appeal and will be doing the same with this one in hopes of coming back to the server. I love roleplay servers and this is the only server that I enjoy playing on because of the well-enforced server rules that encourage great roleplay.

Why should we unban you ?

I think I should be unbanned because the discord server is not attached to a community. below is a link to a photo of the server, u can see that there is no ranking system . and only has 4 channels and one text chat. it is just a group of friends trying to have fun. I will certainly never post any links in the chat ever again.

There are several reasons why we don't allow advertisement, even of a private discord, and have rule 10 in place. What do you think a few of those reasons would be?

when I spoke with sonder he explained there were some issues with people using private discord channels to acquire players information obviously this would be frowned upon. also using an outside means of communication is not good role play. I know that some people might just join the server to gain popularity for another community by piggybacking off the success of this server.  I have learned my lesson and will only use the Teamspeak from now on.

The main concern is that they are harder to monitor and it makes it difficult for us to protect our community from people who are up to no good, which is something we can more easily do in teamspeak. And of course people advertising other communities and piggybacking off the success of RPUK is a difficult one to stop then as well.

You are relatively new so despite the serious offense I will cut you some slack. Do keep in mind that if you break more rules you will net get away with it so easily. So I suggest you go read the rules and make sure you know all of them. If you have a question about the rules you are free to ask an admin in Join for Support.
