In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
My initial ban was issued for metagaming, nothing was direct towards any of the metagaming rules, although we were accused of hopping servers relating to a heist, this was two years ago but I recall the reason behind this was being accused of doing 'easy HMs' on server 2, which was the server we always played on as for the majority of us was smoother plus joining server 1 with 10-15 players during populated hours was painful at times especially if someone dropped. We was mostly on server two and we had a couple on server one and I think it was a Sunday evening so we made the decision to go onto the more populated server and squash this rumour that was going around, I see how this could be seen as metagaming and I guess using the knowledge of server sizes/players is a form of metagaming but it was if anything to make things more of a challenge where as metagaming is usually used to give you an edge so at the time I didn't see the issue with this or why it was such a big deal, there were a couple of police that were on the second server who accused us of this, they also swapped server once we started the HM and I believe they got banned also for doing this, the whole situation was a mixture of hearsay and misunderstanding but a ban was issued for a lot of players and life goes on.
I felt the staff involved in this were not acting professionally, a few of them were high in the police faction and sent a 'under cover officer' to join our gang and encourage us to break rules and report back to them in the spirit of roleplaying which clearly isn't the case it was just trying to get members banned, he was banned for this, rightfully I was annoyed by this and wrongfully I handled this situation poorly and with some heat of the moment decisions, as this was a large contributing factor towards my initial ban and those reporting us were the ones getting our information in game sent to them (which is not a problem) and our plans off server and through team speak which wasn't allowed as this was metagaming and this ultimately caused this entire situation to happen. This was taken up with a member of management I will not mention his name unless requested as a complaint towards the staff who at the time were experienced and knew what they were doing, and at first was being handled well and both sides were giving their views and it was being handled maturely and professionally, eventually things got heated when all the rumours and facts came to light and there were some disagreements. I had a falling out with this member of management, but was mostly handled between us both.
The next step was to get hold of Wilco and discuss this with him which I was unsuccessful in doing, so with all this happening and feeling that the management were not acting professionally I back charged a donation which resulted in a 1.6 Community ban from Wilco, this was probably not the best way to handle the situation but the reasoning was to get a response and hopefully a message and handle this correctly, in hindsight there were better ways to handle this situation but there was a lot of frustration at the time and barriers being put up limiting communication.
What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?
Mostly investing time into running my businesses, took a break from gaming, played some casual cames such as FIFA, Apex, PUBG, R6 and occasionally low level GMOD rp.
Why do you want to return ?
Recently spoken to some of the players I used to talk to and stumbled across some youtube videos which made me want to play, a lot of time as passed now and the dust has settled.
Why should we unban you ?
This was my second ban, first being from memory a RDM/Low quality RP ban within days of playing and was due to the difference in quality of RP compared to other servers/communities other than that I played a lot on this server and for a long time with little to no issues other than maybe the minor team speak conversations with players but no bans, when I was active I helped run one of the most active/large 'gangs' named Ascension which we often were involved in starting long duration high quality role play situations with other factions with both combat such as hostage situations which would always have a long negotiation process which we always made low value demands to avoid combat to non-combat HM heists where we would plan in depth scenarios and create documents which involved all levels of the Police faction, this is something I feel benefited the community as not many players did this. I also used to encourage new recruits to the gang and guide them to having better RP which benefited those playing on the server.
Two years has passed now and I feel all of this is behind us and was just one large misunderstanding which created a lot of tension which will now be settled and hopefully forgotten about.
