In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I think I was banned as a precaution for being a part of the gang Morrison's as many of the gang's members were mass breaking rules such as mass RDM, mass VDM, DDoS attacks etc which I don't support or condone as I chose not to do so myself. I also think being in a room with a racist name which was insulting Vladic Ka on another team speak contributed to the reasoning on my ban and one or two others specifically. I decided not to post an appeal straight after I was banned because I knew I had done wrong by joining the team-speak channel, so I instead thought I'd wait my 6 months to learn the hard way.
What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?
In the last 6 months+ I have mainly been trying to focus on school and have tried to take a step back from ArmA although recently around 2 months ago I've started playing again on wasteland and other communities with some old friends and even made some new friends but have not been very enjoyable as compared to sometimes I have spent on ALUK.
Shortly after being banned I turned my focus towards school and my girlfriend and improve aspects of my life overall such as, applying for college, getting fit and saving up money, etc. I have been also being playing a variety of other games like Rainbow Six, WW2, Rust, Fortnite and the Witcher 3. I've also been watching Coozer's and Vladic Ka's streams now and then.
Why do you want to return ?
There are plenty of reasons I want to return to the server.
I want to return to ALUK because this was the first server I joined back in 2015 and the primary reason I bought ArmA 3 to begin with, I have been a member of the community for nearly 3 years I have tried to stay out of trouble as much as I can and just play the game but always seem to get caught in the mist of it.
Over the three years playing I have met tons of great people and made friends who I still talk to and play games and experienced consistently having fun which not a lot of other games or communities offer. Although my friends are not the only reason I want to return. I feel ALUK is the only good RP server can do a great job at keeping a great level of role play but also includes combat which overall makes it a fun experience that I really miss. I miss the feeling of being able to come home from a stressful day of school or after to study being able to come on the TeamSpeak or the in-game server and talk to people from all over the world about everything and anything and put reality on hold for a while.
Why should we unban you ?
I believe there was two contributing reasons I was banned. One for being a part of Morrison's and the second is being a in team speak room with a very inappropriate name.
First off, I want to say I don't condone nor agree with what members of the gang done on the server or directly to people nor do I think it was a good idea for me to join that team-speak room even if I was just using it as a temporary place to talk. I didn't set the name of the team-speak channel nor did I have the power to change it, but it was my own fault for joining it in the beginning and should've known better so I apologise and do know I regret my choice. I'm not a bad person I'm sure plenty of members of the community would agree that know me well, I am a decent guy who loves a laugh, I just made a stupid mistake on connecting to the team-speak room.
Whoever looks at this appeal I'm sure you will know what the [TI] channel name was changed to as I rather not mention it, I want to say I have absolutely nothing against Vladic Ka. My intentions when I joined that room was to use it as a temp channel, not to offend anyone or offend Vladic Ka so I'm sorry if it did.
I'm not trying to say I wasn't involved as I was a part of the gang, so I am as much involved as everyone else, I just chose not to partake in any rule breaking activities as I've done in previous gangs that have also mass broke rules. Joining the [TI] room was in the heat of the moment decision, I was confused on why I had been banned as I didn't mass RDM etc, but I completely understand why I was banned as a precaution. I made a very idiotic choice looking back at the situation and if I was in that same situation I would've done different and proved I wasn't involved instead of jumping on the band wagon to another team-speak, I don't play to cause drama because if I did I wouldn't have been a part of the community for so long. I have limited who I speak to from Morrison's besides the innocent ones who play on this server. I don't speak to a selected few for certain reasons which made me realise how toxic they really were and would preferred not to be categorised with them, if I am to be un-banned I can fully assure you I'll keep my head down and will not cause any issues because I know how big of an issue certain Morrison's members were at the time of the incident.
I have always been respectful in my three years towards admins on the community and have even be-friended a few over the years so it's not something I would do, I had no intentions of sitting in a room with a name that'd be racist and insult Vladic Ka, as I mentioned that channel name was changed by someone with channel admin, saying this I am aware I am still involved by association for being stupid enough to join the room the the first place, I'm in no way shape or form saying I am innocent, I am just asking for forgiveness and to be given another chance to prove myself because I know I am better that.
