Brief Summary:

Pay taxi drivers in bank transfers like other jobs.

Detailed Suggestion:

I think it's getting beyond the point of stupid at how easy it is to make a SHIT LOAD of money from robbing taxi drivers in Paleto Bay (where there's likely no law enforcement) for a lot of cash. It happens all too much now and normally with borderline shit RP.

Other jobs besides drug dealing pay in bank transfers, why do taxi jobs pay in cash. In these days, not often do people pay taxi drivers IRL in cash.

The Pros:

- Less new players being ran off the server due to people robbing them when they're driving a taxi.

The Cons:

- Less money for those that rob taxi drivers all day.

- Devtime (sorry)

Does this suggestion change balance on the server ?

 
So you're saying to give criminals another thing they can't do. -1 from me. Report shit RP to the forums in my opinion.

Not what I'm saying at all tbh. Criminals can rob anyone they want however taxi drivers are being targeted due to them being paid in cash. I personally don't think that a certain job should be targeted by criminals.

 
I taxi all the time ( in and out of Ballas colours ) and I have not been robbed, Though I have spotted suspicious people and taken relevent steps to avoid getting robbed,  even if i was to get robbed id probably enjoy the roll play. just bank your cash after a couple of jobs and keep your wits about you. As you said Taxi gets fast money, so it wont take long to recoup what youve lost.

Disagree with this suggestion.

 
While poor RP from people robbing taxis is bad it doesn't make sense to change the payout to be cashless just to make the job easier. The current cash system provides a reasonable risk versus reward for taxiing.

 
Every job has its risk, and every job you will get robbed in its just the way the server is. Take the necessary steps to prevent this happening, multiple things you can do, go speak to the police in rp about getting more patrols in the area or bank your payout after each fare or get strapped. Ive been doing taxi work myself for a while and havent been robbed once because I take alot of precautions.

If your getting shit rp thats just a 5 second hands up drop ur cash just report it and slowly get rid of the idiots and get your money back via comp requests. -1 this is from me.

This comment spoke for me. If you was to remove the cash payments to taxi drivers, you remove all risks. 

They would literally have nothing to lose, would that be fair considering all other roles have an element of risk... 

^ I've been robbed multiple times doing taxi, however the RP has always been great. If its not, its an opportunity if anything to allow staff to show them the door.

As others have said, all jobs should and do have their risks. Although is is not ideal to be robbed, it is fairly easy to deposit your money into an ATM after every other taxi job to prevent others from robbing you of more. And again, as other comments have stated, if it is awful roleplay which is violating the GTA RP rules feel free to create a report against the robber(s) and a compensation request to get your money back.

 
My thoughts are similar to others (personal thought, not those of RPUK).

There's plenty of ATM's about for you to cash what you've earnt easy enough. Don't want the inconvenience of cashing after every job? Weigh up with the risk of being robbed the more you hold. I bank every now and again or if I see a cash machine next to me it's 30 seconds maximum to pull up, bank and get back in the car and carry on

Truck Drivers are targeted in the same way, whether it be fuel deliveries, general or imports, it's all paid in cash, and after 2 jobs I bank it and save 2k for fuel, just gotta take the necessary steps, go equipped in the event something happens you can better handle the situation (For example I carry a Glock or a taser when trucking or at the oil/fruit fields now because people take their chances a LOT.)
