Brief Summary:
Atm everyone does ranger stuff just for the armor/musket. I have few suggestions to make Park Rangers actually decent civ job and maybe open more RP opportunities
Detailed Suggestion:
Here is my train of thoughts. Dunno if it is possible and stuff but since i spend basicly all my time tryin to RP as ranger here is my conclusion how it could be actually decent civ job and even enhance the RP opportunities. Then again dunno how you guys are aiming this server (if its heavy gang/mc only or if you are open to possibilities of more civ RP aswell)
My first suggestion would be add esx_hunting (https://forum.cfx.re/t/release-esx-hunting-hunt-animals-and-sell-meat/157872) , that would make people actually hunt (not just rangers) and also opened , in my eyes at least , few options for rangers. They could possibly patrol areas for hunting and check hunting permits. That would make more RP encounters for everyone and made Ranger job feel more worth it , not just take photos until you have armor / musket and abuse it to sell to others.
Second suggestion , maybe little bit wild . Make more ranger levels and allow the top level to make tickets if people dont have the permit. I was thinking about that and this would be simply amazing. Alltho im not sure if that would maybe need whitelisted role , if it did need it that would be even better. I honestly dont have problem with rangers making low money , RP is not about money for me but as ranger you just feel scammed. Only interactions you have is with fellow rangers in hut and if you are up it picking dead people on route 61 and driving them to hospital.
Third suggestion , the small one but actually good one - Allow rangers to purchase ranger vehicles just like taxis can. Seems little bit akward that as ranger you can only rent the vehicle and second option is to buy normal vehicle and nobody can tell you are ranger until you go out of the vehicle
The Pros:
More interactions , more RP possibilities , rangers can actually own car and not get buggy interactions with the rented ones. Also possibility of new whitelisted role.
other ppl would benefit from this aswell , possibility of actual hunting and maybe make some decent competitor for trucking ( tbh trucking is kinda nuts atm and just seems like nobody wants to do civ jobs becouse there is no reason if you can just do few truck jobs and go to crime etc.)
The Cons:
Without whitelisted job or at least some whitelisted rangers possibility of abuse of the ticketing for hunting permits. Otherwise i dont see much cons.
Does this suggestion change balance on the server ?
This could strongly help the RP as Civ as a whole and also maybe make few ppl switch from trucking for easy cash and roleplay instead. Otherwise i dont see how any of these changes could affect any balance of the server.
