[SIZE=14.6667px]It’s come to my attention that, apparently, several people have accused our gang “Paragon” of working together with the Police, which, if true, means that officers have broken police rules. Considering all our members are ex-cops, ex-AR and most climbed to fairly high ranks I can understand the suspicion and it is only natural that it will take time for the suspicions to subside. That being said though, I feel obligated to clarify a few things publicly, since officers have been suspended over this and it’s harming our reputation. I’m also hugely disappointed that at no point in time has anyone contacted us, to receive our side of the story. If we had known there was an issue we could’ve saved our recordings and given evidence in the matter.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Firstly we’ve done 2 RP bankjobs that were allegedly in conspiracy with cops. We never spoke to any officer prior to these bankjobs. We spend hours making a document, coming up with a good background story, googling to get our facts straight, losing bounties and getting appropriate gear. We got a lot of gold for it, yes, but the RP from the cops was excellent and we had a lot of fun, getting accused of corruption is unfair to all the work put in on both sides, mostly by Woof and Capt. C. I thought this is what we want from cops? To reward good Roleplay. After all, we could’ve just shot our way out of it and gotten even more gold. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]Secondly and more seriously; yesterday our gang took 5 UNMC members hostage in front of 3 cops. A very short recording from the UNMC POV comes across as if though the officers were working with us. The fact is that I got RDM’d at Zaros (sadly I didn’t have recording on) whilst en route to Weed Processing and as I lay dead in the car our heli spotted cops at Processing. Naturally my gang members requested my revival by the cops and we had some nice, friendly RP with them. However, there was about 5 or 6 of us with another 3 snipers in the area, therefore the cops were in no position to arrest us. On top of that they had another 2 officers talking to a prisoner to our South, clearly they had a responsibility regarding the safety of this prisoner as well, so again, antagonising us would have been stupid on their part. It was at this moment that the UNMC decided to drop 5 unarmed members next to us. We had a short chat, but one of the privates got a bit aggressive and seeing as our gang had a score to settle with them, the opportunity to take 5 men hostage was simply irresistible. We forced the cops, at gunpoint, to help us. We only asked them to restrain and put them in vehicles (it didn’t work for us for some reason). Once again, I feel they valued their lives and the life of their prisoner by doing so. It saddens me that these officers got into trouble, just because we were being “assholes” to them. We had good, fun RP with them and later on with LT. Drew as well, it shouldn’t have ended in drama.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=14.6667px]So, in conclusion, if there’s any doubt about our actions or motives, please just contact us directly or at the very least let us know there is an issue, so we can get our evidence in order and give our side of the story as well.[/SIZE]
