Panic Button - Audio Trigger

Hello to those who have taken time out of their day to read my post,

As a notoriously notorious criminal - It has been noticed on many (every single time) occasions that when you launch a co-ordinated snatch and grab or robbery of a Police🐷 they tend to always hit their panic button whilst at gun point telling us they haven't hit their panic button.

I know on some occassions, they've been spooked by noticing us circling or as we've pulled up on them they've done it in advance.

To the best of my knowledge, if a real panic alarm was raised on a radio it would have an audible noise relayed out the radio? (Correct me if im wrong🤓)

I just feel this might help situations not turn into gunfights with police 24/7 and hopefully let us have stronger RP with the officer / create more RP for the police rather than just pursuits & shootouts..

This doesn't apply to those who see police officers as vending machines..

Anyway, let me know if you think my suggestion is 🔥 or :poop:

I like the suggestion but to add to this
I believe IRL when a officer state 0s his radio becomes open mic so officers can hear everything that goes on.

This would be cool to have aswell because if he does get the panic of just before he gets robbed officer responding can hear everything said

Nice nerd emoji but yes you are wrong. Police do not need a loud sound as that puts other people in danger.
The sound actually emits from other officers radios but they are plugged into earpieces so only officers can hear. (As the current system is) The radio also flashes orange on everyone but the person who pressed the panic. Due to model limitations we just have our dispatch flash.

IF you want panics to be more realistic. You would actually be nerfed.

Currently and like real life it makes a "CAD" number AKA a dispatch.

What it doesnt do that real radios do
10 seconds open mic so they can talk to you while relaying info without you knowing. (I did this on arma once it worked a charm) like "Right no need for guns im just tryna find drug dealers here" Bang police know there is guns on scene.

So in reality they are how they are meant to be.

Else counter.
If you wanna hear our panics, we should be able to hear those that text groupies. at taser/gun point
 
To clarify i dont mind this happening but i would like to see groupie thing added with the panic sound to keep it fair as currently at least we have an animation. Groupie is impossible to tell

I must of got this mixed up with hearing what other officers are hearing then :unsure:

I saw going to say maybe we allow for 10 seconds of open mic radio talk but this also can be meta'd heavy that the panic was pressed..

Also, imagine using ur phone whilst ur at gunpoint, idk you'd be shot for just reaching into ur pocket to get ur phone or tasered..

sounds like NVL to me, regardless ill link this suggestion from a while ago wich i belive would be a good solution:

Police panic buttons.

This post is NOT a suggestion to get rid of panic buttons. I'd like to suggest change to it. Now its no surprise that police have the greatest weapon known as a panic button which essentially drops a gps on them with flashing text alerting all other cops. My only fault in this is how easily it...

that ended up just being normal practice on arma towards the end, say the phrase of the week and keep talking on whispers

I fail to see how this would create more RP. Not accusing me oh as idek if I have met you in RP or not. But one of the biggest issues for the police atm is vending machine robbery’s aka “show me your hands, give me your gun, bye”. I feel like these is just going to be a increase of this if it’s harder for the police to panic.

Yes it’s common for police to preemptively panic however if you have a gun to their head and tell them not to panic and they do that’s something I’d advise reporting as that’s not fair.

At the end of the day the server wouldn’t benefit from even easier robbing of police further flooding the server with guns without the hours of grinding just a 30 second robbery. However it needs to remain fair so it does still happen and create a more even playing field for crims.

My opinion is to leave it the same as it already is.

Make it a 2 second hold to activate the panic whilst also doing the animation, no audio cue is required.
 
Given how prolific the taking of Police officers is I'm severely against this. The obsession with taking police hostage on FiveM is ridiculous and even Arma was not as bad as FiveM this. I'm against anything that would enable this further.

Police officers get taken hostage for the stupidest of reasons and we RP as British cops yet we are met with a hostility more akin to that of America if not worse.

Until you fix that issue I cannot support this suggestion.

We literally get cops taken hostage for trying to have words with people about safe driving and speeding. I won't go into the other silly examples but morale is already quite low in Police and this is one of the reasons and would impact Police activity I believe if this was implemented.

It would stop me activating it when running and pointing.

But when being shot at 2 seconds is a long time to hold down a hey.
 
I personally love getting pulled over for speeding or running red lights, i even pull over if im carrying :ROFLMAO:

I think a visible animation is fair middle ground
 
I 100% think panic buttons need changing.

9/10 times you attempt to use a police as a hostage or just try to rob them, they will panic even when asked specifically not to with guns pointed at them. It forces you to rush your RP and move them on otherwise a fire fight ensues which ultimately ends up on the forums and the group whom attempted the robbery gets called "fraggers" even though they didn't force the fire fight in the first place, the officer who panicked caused it.

It's silly how easy it is for police to panic and how undetected it can be done (ie when getting out of a car), a 2-3 seconds hold time should be needed to panic and a flash/sound should play.

Like Jeep already mentioned, feel free to report such incidents. This suggestion is heavily leaning on changing a game mechanic that YOU feel is being abused.

Jesse, reporting for things like this is just petty and a HUGE reason as to why the player count has dropped since last year, the report culture as a whole is a complete mess. I don't want to report people for these things, it will only lower the player count and subsequently roleplay standards as a whole! ( I don't want to mess up this suggestion post so I wont carry on commenting on it )
