Always happens to me (especially at the most important times lmao).
1. All drivers are installed.
2. When you load up your game, a pop up in the top right should come up along the lines of 'Shadow play working'.
-If that doesn't happen, restart your PC, and before you even launch steam launch GeForce Experience, and open in game overlay there.
