Hi all,

I just wanted to share with you a story of what happened to me last night:

So, I had joined the server the day before for the first time, and had gotten into copper mining. I had done several runs, some with friends, some with strangers, others alone. I started my run with some friends, but then they accidently hit each other and blew up. I continued up the highway, alone in my Tempest Covered. I stopped by the gun shop and picked up a cheap pistol to defend myself. I processed my copper, and headed back to the sellers. Upon reaching the sellers, I started to sell the copper. It had taken me an hour to get this far, so I was glad it was paying off. Whilst selling my copper, two guys walk up, and ask me to put my hands on my head as they do a routine search. Me, being retarded, put away my gun, and do as told. Then, suddenly I am knocked out, robbed, and told to hand over the keys to my truck. Now, I don't know what happened next as I refused, and they killed me. I assume my truck was lock picked and stolen.

Now, I  want to know, do you think I am retarded for not knowing that they weren't cops and losing 400k+ worth of stuff? Or is it an honest mistake?

Robberies are unfortunatly part of Altis Life. Try doing the runs in a group or get some form of protection from either the police or various gangs that do it. You will have to be carefull when working with the gangs though because if you are associated with people carrying illegal weapons it could get messy.

I usually try and play with one of my friends, and another friend is getting a new PC for christmas so he can play with us. Hopefully we will be safe then, or the cops will protect us xD. I was going to go in a group when this happened, but my friend couldn't get a slot on the server and the other guys I was with crashed and died...

Stuff like this happens all the time, and no you are not retarded, you did the right thing, you actually did what they requested. Alot of new people on the server would probably have straight up tried to gun them down, this is bad, what you did was good, aslong as you stick to the roleplay side of things you will be alright, as for why they killed you, next time try and comply to every demand they have, just go with the flow.

I know the feeling of spending around an hour making money for it all to be taken from me, when i started on the server i got robbed constantly doing iron runs.

If you ever see me online and you are making money legally, message me and i will escort you and make sure the area is clear. (for a small fee ofcourse)

Ok, well, I was processing my copper, and some guy came along, knocked me out, took me to a heli, and is now forcing me to jump out of a chinook....

We were looking for victims to turn into frog picking slaves but you mentioned you had terminal cancer and only a few minutes to live (excellent way to communicate limited playing time, thanks) so we took pity on you and gave you an impromptu sky diving opportunity.
