Drove to UNMC checkpoint in a go-kart. A guard said I can't pass in a go-kart, I turn around and drive 100 meters. A car passes, I drive behind it in the hope of "hiding behind it" into the checkpoint. Not successful. They warn me if I cross the barrier they will open fire, i turn back. A lorry and two helicopter arrives at the border, I drive to see what is going on. Im standing still in the middle of the road, 5 meters infront of the barrier. Player noose shoots me dead. This is pretty RDM'y in my book no matter what warnings they gave. But I digress.
Now, I respawn and head back to the checkpoint, as I do want to cross (i have a car this time). No NLR timer is showing but I do not think 15 minutes has passed, so i drive to the middle of the fields next to checkpoint and wait it out without interacting with anyone. I made a purposeful decision not to interact and break the NLR.
After a while sitting in the field, I head further away chasing a chopper in the sky, I get a message "you will be banned" - 10 seconds later, banned.
I didn't run back there shouting the odds at why they RDM'd me, I just sat in my car waiting a variable amount of time until we could start over.
I find it quite awful that a guard can tell an admin over teamspeak or whatever to ban someone and it gets done. Everyone else has to go to the effort of providing proof on the forums.
