Evenin' all.
Fuck knows how to write the introduction for one of these things, but hey ho here we go. I've come to the decision that I really want to take a break from the server.
Right now in my opinion I'm having the worst experiences since my time joining here. During my recent outings as an NHS First Aider, I've had nothing but shit roleplay from civilians, and the amount of abuse and disrespect flung at us is at the highest it's ever been. I've had some very good roleplay situations with select groups of people, but sadly these are in the minority nowadays. Some might say that I've burnt myself out playing as a medic, but my inactivity in the role is solely down to how badly this community likes to treat it's medics.
Furthermore, ever since I've joined I have had the unsettling feeling this place has been taking a slight turn for the worse. I've seen many excellent game changing suggestions be put forward by exemplary members of the community, only to either be shot down by the admin team or left to rot in Queued area. At the moment civillian RP is absolutely horrific, and I can't blame the people that play civilians for it. There's absolutely nothing to make somebody want to roleplay as a law abiding citizen, everything is just guns guns guns with this server. To be honest, it's frankly depressing to come on as a law abiding citizen here, it's like watching paint dry.
And to top it all off of course, we've got the DDOS issues this community's currently facing. To be honest, they're probably the final thing that made me snap and lose my patience with this place. I'm not trying to levy any of the blame to people here whatsoever, but I don't expect anyone to try and play on the server with the constant crashing, account wiping, hack kicks... you get my point.
This all isn't helped that I'm not having the best of times in real life either; just going through a very dark time at the moment.
So for now this is a farewell to all you in-game players. I'll still be hanging around the teamspeak and forums as per usual, but I need some time to sort my life out right now. Finding it difficult sometimes to properly switch off.
