NHS application - Minimum Requirements?

Hey,

I'm really interested in being a medic to help out people on the island as I am very aware that sometimes it's needed. I'm aware of how the application process works, however I'm a very new player, So My question is this:

What would you expect as a minimum from an applicant in terms of game experience?

I expect that a proven ability to roleplay and be trusted is paramount and goes without saying!

No there is no in game experience required to join the NHS, however if you are new you may struggle in the application and interview process. So what I would suggest is going on a ride along with an MTO or GP, so you'll have more knowledge of how the NHS works so you'll have a higher chance of being accepted.

Excellent. I'll try and free myself up to do some ride-alongs in the next week or so, aswell as sweet-talk a few medics to allow me (Frog-based and otherwise)

Here's a Follow-on Query -

In my Mobile, I can clearly see who is a Medic, Cop and Civ. In character, is that information I can use? As in, Can I message to ask if they would be willing to let me ride along? (Obviously not going to message them directly about reviving or patching me up and stuff!)

Sending a message to the 'Medic' number is the equivalent of Dialling 999, which is obviously inappropriate for these purposes - Or can I make clear that this is a '101' (non-emergency) call?

In game you can identify medics only by rank, so you wouldn't know their name so couldn't text them.

Best to just pop a message in teamspeak

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you for your help.

Chances are I'll not apply for at lease 3 or 4 weeks anyway - I'm away for a fortnight starting 23rd, so It would be silly to start the application process then have to pause it for my holiday!
