Nexus Update - Sound issue through Direct comms?

Hi.

 As you're most likely aware there is a bit of a sound issue when it comes to using direct chat. People can't seem to hear you anymore as well as they could have and this is becoming a big issue for everyone.

Just today we were less than 30m away from someone and they could not hear us, and it was a very heated situation. With this whole new sound bug, especially on a RP server it is becoming a very big issue. 

I know that you ( @Wilco ) was in contact with the BI devs about the server crashing, and since its still not actually fixed properly are you still in contact with them?

Would be good to see if they can put the direct chat / chat the same way it was previously. 

 - This is an issue btw, unless your stood directly in front of someone it is almost impossible to talk to them.

Ya i had today a incounter with the police and we had the same sound bug. Even got a video of that incounter. We whare shouting and the police to. But i diddent hear anny thing

 
Yeah this is a massive problem, when I was a rebel we had to give out the guts of 3 million in comp, I'm glad you brought this up @Dylan

 
I'm still having terrible problems with this also. I've ended up just putting my general sound setting up half way and just keeping my ear plugs in. Unfortunately the VON isn't an independent setting and relies on the general setting. However obviously getting everyone to do this isn't really realistic. I'd love to see an improvement to this. However I presume it'll just have to wait till #framework2016. I am glad you brought this up to. I'm sure many people are having this issue.

 
@Dylan You need to up the effects option in the sound. It makes quite a difference. However the environment will disturb you with this option being up cars choppers etc. Hope it helps :) 

 
What graphics card you using? Don't know if it makes any difference but I had the problem for a while, then an new driver came out , I installed it, now I find myself having to turn  VON down and general noise up

Defo a issue +1. To many people getting shot killed or even stunned as we can't hear this issue. Can't there be a separate sound option for direct chat instead of using effect... which i say is ridiculous as this has to be on high and is unbareable at most times then getting shot tasted or even killed by police or rebels for as they say you didn't comply in time ...  count of 5
