    First i wanted to say that the lot of you that I've talked to already have been amazing, and incredibly helpful in assisting me with getting acquired in Altis. Seriously i genuinely mean that, I've even recommended the server to the group i usually hang around with and should be getting themselves set up in the server shortly. Though,  i am curious about a few things i apologize if this is the wrong format to ask or if its available somewhere else on the forums that i missed, so i'm just going to list them off.

The main thing that has had me almost concerned at first was the odd amounts of disconnects from everything, teamspeak, the server, even the website are all down at the same time. While its not the biggest bother i was simply curious about it as it is down for the first few hours of the day that i'd probably be on the server.

Another thing i was curious about if there is any extra steps i need to take if i wish to stream from the server, i've had issues in the past that my streaming software (Open Source Broadcaster) has set off anti-hack things in the past and i figured i'd ask now if that'd be an issue in anyway.

And lastly, if i do have other questions later on would it be more appropriate to just ask those who are online at the time, or just post on the forums instead? Or any last minute advice for someone just starting off on the server?

 
use the aluk teamspeak and if you have any issues contact a mentor who should be able to assist you.

I can't comment too much on the disconnects, but I did notice the website was unavailable for a bit today.
It could either be a minor networking issue at the DC, or something which occurs every now and then is a DDOS attack on the servers for ALUK. 
This server tends to attract a lot of attention of both the good and the bad kind.

Unfortunately I don't stream, so can't really help much on that one, but I know a few guys here use OBS without any issues.

As for the last quesiton, if you have a long question like the ones above that might need a detailed answer, then probably best to ask on the forums.
If you have a very quick quesiton like: Where is the CashPoint in Agios, etc. Then just ask those in-game on side-chat.

Holy crap, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Alright well i wanted to at least mention the use of OBS at least once on the forums at somepoint just incase it does trigger the anti-hack. Thanks for the help though.

No worries fella, I'm incredibly bored at work, so I'm regularly scanning the forums ;).

Best of luck on the server mate. Hope you have as much fun as I've had on it over the last year.

 
Used obs myself and never had an issue :)  

Also use shadowplay ,, but there are audio issues with 7.1 audio

 
As mentioned, the past 24 hours I believe the site, teamspeak and servers have been down for a little amount of time, about twice I believe for about an hour each time. Not certain though!

Ah sweet, i'll look in to it. I know Sam mentioned that there is a mode set aside for those that are streaming with programs that may set off the anti-hack so i may mess with that abit.

Yeah i was afraid you guys were getting ddosed because everything went down at roughly the same time both nights.

 
There is also a 4 hour restart cycle due to limitations in arma

Yes hi again Bash :) eh with OBS when you set up the game capture you can enable the anti cheat compatibility hook so that's what I have enabled and it works fine hope this helps and Enjoy your time on this great server :)

 on the obs.. for ARMA3 using anti cheat hooking else you will have a black screen
