New Laws

Fuel is totally correct that the Mayor's cannot change laws on their own, an agreement has to come from the CSI's and the Mayor for the better good of the Island. Making the officers on normal patrol wear the yellow uniform (all be it a great idea backed by my inner-Marmite-Miner) would make it impractical for a large number of situations we have.

People have to remember that they are coming in to the Mayor role as the same character as their civilian which means if you have been a complete nobber to the Police they are much less likely to want to help you during your term. Some Mayor's have come and gone with no help what-so-ever from the Police due to their lives as notorious gangsters.

Unfortunately the Admins are tied up with the new framework making it awkward to get any additional things added etc BUT it should be known that the Admins have played a very active role with the Mayor's of the past. For example, Mayor Cutter had Marmite added to the island, Mayor Seabass had the Fish Market added, I had street parties and an illegal rave event (setup by Chris Robinson). If the new framework wasn't on the horizon, I imagine the Admins would still be more than happy to assist you make your mark while being the Mayor. This said, I'm sure if you go to Neo and inform him of any events you might want to have, he will do his best to get them done.

you still even need the polices permission to change the go kart law. As it has to be updated in the police handbook fines and punishment section

 
Seems like the new mayor isn't to a great start. We've seen mayor's being ousted in the past, it can happen again..

hello my name is Mr Milo i am the Mayor of Altis for this term, and as of 16th of September to the 1st of October . i am making it that all police in Altis have to wear yellow uniform  while on normal patrol. if and officer is going to an bank OP,hostages, RTU, or AR patrol  he DOSE NOT have to wear the yellow uniform (to make sure u don't stand out like a sore thumb on top of a hill), he can wear his normal black uniform.

We need every police officer to be as marmitey as possible :D

My point stands. It's pretty much the only law which is changed, which was my point. The cops only allow for the tiniest laws to be changed. I.e. legalising go-karts/marmite etc.
