New house system

With the new house system, can police and medics houses be robbed while on duty? If so, i defiantly feel that this should not be the case as medics cannot defend themselves and police are constantly doing other duties such as car chases etc so they wont have the time to go and defend their house.

In real life you can't stop people from robbing house just because your a cop or medic. If your a cop you wouldn't need a house would you? To store what? Illegal weapons?

As of today i tried robbing a house and when knocked on door it said someones home but when used with bolt cutters, a message pops up saying they were online as a medic so i would think this  question has a definite answer now.
