-1 let people join groups if they want to man

edit: why? one month is a long time for new people. and denying them access to an F6 as a whole is a bit extreme. relationships you make with people, theres a 50% chance that they're apart of a group - so automatically you associate yourself with the group. why not let people go if they want?

Imo new gangs or smaller ones are ok but whitelisted gangs no.

Character growth needs to happen, cant have a new char join a established gang overnight.

+1 really good idea

True one month is a long time, but its a long time where new players can roleplay, learn the ropes and actually get to grips with the server and learn all the various mechanics and jobs on the server to find their place rather than joining a group in the first 2 weeks and just getting put into a box of only gang rp.

F6 should be available off the bat, often groups of friends will want to start a new group together no need to limit that.

Whitelisted group limits should be common sense by the seniors in the group.

I agree with you on this, but as far as i know, considering whats happened recently, this is already an indirect necessity when it comes to joining an established group, and like Joe said it really should be common sense from the seniors in the group.

As a person who joined a group only a few days after first entering the server, if i got told that i had to wait a month before being able to be apart of it, i would not be playing on the server today.
put into a box of only gang rp.
Yes, but this is a suggestion for F6's in general. What about groups that don't do gang rp? There are plenty of groups that are a lot more than just that. And even if they get put into gang rp immediately, whats the issue? If they're capable of providing good roleplay and develop their characters story through that group then theres no issue. And the ability to roleplay goes without saying. If that was a requirement im sure a lot of groups wouldn't have full tablets at the moment 😆

and like Joe said it really should be common sense from the seniors in the group.
Unfortunately this isnt always the case though, the same with why there was a automated cooldown added for switching f6's. I agree it should just be common sense from seniors in groups but common sense isnt always something you get from seniors in groups.

that is more concerning towards your intentions on the server rather than proving your point on this post.

Yes that is true, but my argument is by joining a group straight away, you are now in a way just sticking yourself in a box of only what that group does meaning as a new player you are now not going to be taking the time to explore the server and rp and meet people and build up your character when within the first 2 days youve joined a group.

I can almost guarantee 95% of groups tablet would stay unchanged, as you said yourself it should be common sense from seniors and most if they KNOW theyre a very new player most likely wouldnt add them into an f6 within a week of knowing them.

Many players will be experienced roleplayers and a lot can happen in a few days on a server like this, a month wait to be able to join an F6 is another unnecessary hurdle in the way of organic RP with questionable benefits.

I know TAXI AUTO CENTRE used to rely on their F6 for operation and they were like a baldie adoption centre, I don't think a cooldown would have helped them recruit lil freshies like @SteveStacy @Lil_Dave or @G.Mendes am I right @Christopher Hamilton?

Also again - new character =/= new player. If a bunch of police mains (🤢) want to start a crackhead group on 2nd chars why should they have to wait a month?

Interesting statement considering we obviously don't know each other, my roleplay and ability to stay within the guidelines of the server is by no means an issue, thank you.

The group i joined was a group of people that i was closely connected to out of the city, which is irrelevant but still a prime example of how new players can have their reasons for wanting to join a group other than just wanting to join to frag.

All besides the point at the end of the day and a bit of an immature point in my opinion, i'll leave it at that.

I struggle to see what the issue is here. What is really the problem with wanting to join a group a few days after? If someone wanted to create a character to become a civ and explore that side of roleplay, then surely they'd already be dead-set on doing that? The idea of this seems like an unnecessary restriction on new players, disallowing them to do what they want.

And if they realized they wanted to do civilian roleplay instead of gang roleplay, then why not just leave the group after realizing it wasn't the right choice for them? Or create a second character? And what if someone whos already an experienced roleplayer created a second character?

I see where your coming from, but its way too often I see gang members make new chars to wait out cooldown periods in the gang they're going to join. for example X char is in Aztecas and wants to join cutlass so leaves Aztecas and has a second char join cutlass to wait down the 1 month cooldown, as soon as its up leave and join on their main char. i feel this sort of thing is really stupid. but f6 that are non whitelisted in my opinion is fine for lil freshies to join.

Pretty sure second character still have to abide by cooldowns from main characters :)

Staff issue for 1.7 and char separation no?

Creating a rule or mechanic for something already covered by common sense is kinda pointless.
