need the file to download not sure how to find it

i took a long break from arma and decided to boot it up today to find it needs file update, cant seem to find the file and i cant get it from the server because i get kicked any help would be amazing

What sort of file are you looking for?

Is it the arma 3 mission file that gets downloaded when you join the server.

or

Did you mean the arma 3 itself as a steam game needs updating.
