Need some advise on my PC.. Upgrades are needed!

So my specs are..

CPU - AMD FX 6300 - 3.5 GHZ - 6 CORES.

GPU - Radeon R7 260x  [Horrible I know]

RAM - 8GB DDR3 1600mz (1x8gb)

Power Supply - 550W

Case - Zalman Z3

I never knew I would grow onto PC gaming so much so this build didn't really bother me. I've come to realise a major upgrade is to come. Shall I just buy a new PC or upgrade this one?

Also what shall i upgrade?

My budget is not extremely high but it's not low either. I'm not looking for some titan upgrade =)

Thanks.

I would say buy new, because if you are going to change CPU and GPU u probably have to change everything.

And if you choose to buy a titan you also need a new Power supply(It takes 600 W).

Also It would be nice to know what games you want to play on the pc.

What Power Supply brand and model is it? Also need to know your Motherboard to see what chipset it is etc
The power supply is all below. I believe it is Corsair. The mobo I don't know sadly & I don't know how to find out :l [I'm a noob]

If its corsair it should say the model type. Some corsairs PSUs are a little dodgy is all and wont actually provide a stable amount of watts.

Actually have a spare 850w you could have if you cover the fees to send it.

To find out your motherboard download speccy and screenshot it. Will let me know what you actually need then.

Right with your current Motherboard it only accepts AM3+ socket type chips, which of now aren't even sold in terms of new products.

Would look like you need a MB/CPU & Cooler/GPU/PSU and possibly a Case dependent on what type of GPU you want due to the length of the Card/Case.

PSU is already covered so that saves you money buying a new one. Also you should be able to sell your current thing's to recoup a bit of money for additional things.

If you want I'll get a basic part list today and we can talk through what you need/want in TS tonight?

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/mk8tTW - £600 under that picking

This is a more extreme build for yourself most likely but this will literally ensure that your able to play games in near enough full ultra in anything par Witcher 3 etc.

We can tailor it to suit your needs tonight but it kind of gives you a good idea of what you really need. Dependent on your current case we may still be able to change to a different GPU which will fit in the case, it really depends on your airflow and cable management there.

To be honest I'm liking the look of that.

Its actually very similar to my current setup haha :)

Just have the 980ti instead, but the 970 is more than enough for 1080p gaming. Even then once you get better components you can easily sell them and upgrade for around 50% of the cost then.
