Right,

I explained a while ago about my Microphone freezing whilst in game.

I currently have Hyper X Cloud II. USB Microphone.

Problem:

The problem i am having is happening far to often now. I could be talking in game and without me knowing my microphone has froze / Cut of doesn't pick my voice up. This has only ever happened whilst in Arma 3 so far.

When my microphone freezes it will also freeze in teamspeak. I know this has happened as my blue light stays blue constantly like i'm talking when in fact i'm not it has froze.

Trying to Solve it:

I reinstalled audio drivers in which it sort of temp fixed it as it didn't happen for a while? Now it is happening to often.

When my mic freezes i do the obvious take it out and put it back in but it doesn't pick up the USB.

I try to relog Teamspeak in which TS3 will freeze and won't open again.

I go to my sound control panel ect that will also freeze.

I believed it was problem with my USB stuff as when i tried to plug in a USB hard drive to test it wouldn't pick it up.

The only way for me to fix this is to literally have to restart my PC which is fucking annoying.

I need help please :(

Wiggle the plug connection into the computer audio port. Try another port if available.

Try the Cloud 2's on another system. See if the problem follows the headset.

While plugged in and listening gently wiggle, flex, and twist the wires to see if you can duplicate the audio stopping and starting. Especially around the plugs and connections into the headsets.

If you can prove the headsets to be defective then return them.

- Did totally not take this out of the internet

Headset seems fine in other systems so i don't have a clue

I had the same problem with this headset I would suggest emailing Kingston.

I think it's just USB mics also are shite lmao however will message them

Sorry to be late to the party. Definitely sounds like an issue with the USB bus itself, rather than the headset, especially if you've had issues with out USB devices, and the headset works fine on another machine.

Out of all the usb ports on your machine, which have you tried @Drew? Usually USB ports are grouped into groups of say 4 or 5 per 'root hub' which you can see if you open Device Manager (win Key+Pause Key) and go to USB Hubs at the bottom.

Try your headset in every single USB port, if possible have device manager open as it should update with each insertion of the device, and will show you a !! if a device is having issues, either the USB device itself, or the Headset.

Okay thank you, i shall try that. I currently have it in a 3.0 USB, i will try the device manager thing/ The only thing is it's only ever ever happend on Arma 3 which is why i find it weird.

Are your particular USB3.0 root drivers installed? Usb 3 ports can go a little...weird if they dont have their particular drivers. Hub-wise, you should have say 2 ports at the top of your PC, they're probably on 1 hub, maybe 2-6 ports lower down, they might be another hug, then USB 3 ports are their OWN hub. Try using a Non-Blue USB2.0 port.

Okay thanks i'll try all these and get back to you!

Hi Guy,s im really late to the party, but as you say, it only affects Arma 3, what about the Steam, Setting, Voice, Audio, surely these settings need be same as system.
