Need Help

So, im trying to look around to buy a new computer but im stuck because i aint really got a clue what im looking for. Like i know basics but im looking for people to give me some suggestions on pre-built gaming pc's that i can buy. I cant build my own and quite frankly i cba to even try to learn, thats just me being lazy. 

My budget is around £1000

I currently play on a complete spud that shits itself when i see a muzzle flash. I do get okay frames for the most part but i play on low setting (how sad) the problem that i have is that the frames drop from say 40 to 10 then back to 40. Iv tried multiple things to see if i can fix this and cant.

Graphics Chipset
AMD Radeon (TM) R7 370 Series 2GB

Seagate 1TB SATA3 7200rpm Hard Drive

The only game i play pretty much is Arma 3 so i dont really care how it would perform on other games.

If anyone has any suggestions please could you explain to me why that would be better than the one i have linked? or what to change on the one i suggested to make it better keeping it within the price range...

How much does Windows 10 gonna cost from the website you gonna get it? My opinion is that to buy windows 10 from a professional site is a waste of time. All you need is to buy a Product key from a website you can easily find for 10 euros and that's it. You can download Windows pro or home from the original website from Microsoft and put it in your USB stick with more than 4 gb.  Unless you wont pay like 100 euros or something like some websites than its cool.

Upgrade your CPU to the I7 4770k, Get an SSD and then get another 8 GB ram, if you have more money then go for a 1060 or possibly 1070.

There isnt really anypoint ditching that system fully.

Those specs are nice, but if you got a £1000 to spend - if you can - try and get that i7 because it will increase your performance a lot more, however that PC will defiantly do the job and run arma smoothly. The thing I can say is get an SSD.

My friend recently bought one and I have one which is so similar almost identical and it does the job perfectly. It's so good you can even reach 30fps in kavala!11!1!!!

If that one doesn't get your fancy, make sure you get a minimum of an i5 processor and at least a GTX 1060. Other than that I just recommended looking around as much as possible before buying! Best of luck with your build

Can buy windows 10 on Ebay for a fiver and yes, i think you should upgrade your current system to the max i7 that is compatible, double your ram to 16gb at the fastest speed compatible and i wouldnt recommend a prebuilt especially from that website as they charge a premium that you could save buy building yourself.

So I don't chime in on these as much any more but what @A D A M has said would be my advice. Same yourself the money and upgrade your cpu to an i7-4790k it's a rock solid CPU for your mobo socket and means you wont have to change everything else. Upgrade your ram to 16GB, and you should have plenty of budget left over for a new GPU. I'm an nVidia fan so I would recommend a 6gb GTX1060 or the 8Gb GTX1070. If you dont play many other games, the 1060 will save you some cash and Arma will look just as good. No point going over the 1070 unless you'rep laying on a really good high-end monitor.

Also it wouldn't hurt to get yourself an SSD or two. 250gb+500gb. 7200RPM mechanical drives are fine but an SSD is always faster. You would ideally put Windows on the 250gb ssd and install steam+all your games on the 500. Use the 1TB drive as a backup/shadowplay drive/media drive.

In short -

• Upgrade to Intel Core i7-4790k Devil's Canyon CPU
  
• Buy an additional 8GB of RAM - look first to see if your pc has 2x4GB or 1x8GB and how many slots are free. if you have 2x4, get another 2x4. Always keep it matched.
  
• Upgrade that GPU to a 6GB GTX1060 or a 8GB GTX1070, or an AMD card of your choice from a similar generation. (nVidia has showplay though and it's great)
  
• Consider investing in at least 1, if not 2 SSDs.
  

All the above should cost you much less than £1000 and you can probably buy yourself a burger king to celebrate how fantastic you are with your newly upgraded computer.

The 4970k cpu is more expensive because of it's popularity. It's a very strong processor for it's era of motherboards. It would be widely viewed as 'one of the best'. 

The compatibility message pretty much means what it says. The same chipset was used for two generations of intel cpu, Haswell and their updated set Haswell Refresh. Some motherboards made for the earlier series would need a slight update for the updated CPUs. If you've check yours is compatible then it should be fine. Regarding overclocking, yes - on H-series chipset mobos like your H81, it wont support manual overclocking. You would need a Z series, but if you're not planning to manually overclock your cpu, you'll be fine.

The memory you have picked is 2x sticks of 8. with your 2x sticks of 4, you'll have a total of 12. Just make sure you put the sticks in the right slots, they generally alternate ABAB. So 8, 4, 8, 4, but check your mobo. This will mean the memory operates in dual-channel, or a 'matched' mode.

Yep Arma should look pretty good. It's mainly a CPU-restricted game rather than GPU, particularly in multiplayer, but you should see some good solid high framerates when you're out and about, always expect dips in Kavala. Yep you'll have change for a boneless banquet box meal. you might even be able to go large.
