For about 3 days now I have been trying to start arma 3. Every time I try to update it the update finishes so I start arma 3 and it updates again. This is not because of multiple updates. When I go on the steam after the update is finished it says that the update is paused even though it had just finished updating. If anybody has had this problem before please reply and tell me what you did to get arma 3 working again.

Try to launch steam as administrator. That fixes problems most of the time

I got round the problem once and I was able to open arma 3 but then it said missing executables but now it does not say that anymore

Yes i have restarted steam, my computer and I have even left my computer off for a day to see if that worked

Clear download cache then verify files. I mean steam dl cache not the game

Yeah, I was going to say, have you tried verifying the game files?

Yeah I have tried verifying files. I have given it to PC world to sort it out because I have no idea what I am doing. Thanks for all your help.

I've had this issue before but with a different game, the only way I managed to get around it was delete the game completely off my desktop and then re-install and verify.

If its a clean windows then I can only assume a hardware issue. Which could be anything from gpu to power supply.
