Need for Speed

The new Need for Speed is not Underground 3 but I feel like they are taking the game franchise to the right direction. The game looks stunning, and runs outstanding for being a console port. The visuals and audio are great, and exploring in free roam and drifting around corners feels really satisfying. Surly it brings back memories from when I was little and played Underground everyday!

I am just posting this to start a little discussion about the game and the franchise, if you think it's going the right way or if the game just straight up blows. I made a video showing off gameplay, some amateur drifting with manual gear during a cop chase. Sorry about the music, had to use something cause in the recording we are talking on Teamspeak.

I haven't played the newest Need for Speed game yet but i can say that since NFS Most Wanted I haven't really enjoyed the games that much. I liked Carbon but from there onwards the games just seemed to go downhill with the removal of customization aspects that i liked. My fondest memories of childhood gaming came from underground 1 and 2, i can still remember the maps today and i haven't played in a couple of years. So for them to be bringing customization in some way at least is good because it means you can make the car you use throughout the game unique to you. You could maybe even make the most unexpected car the fastest if it is going to be anything like underground 2, where i had a maxed out Peugeot 106 that left everything else in the dust. I'm looking forward to playing the new one myself at some point and perhaps make some new memories of awesome police chases like in most wanted. Heres hoping the new one will be memorable

I never could get into any need for speed games after Underground and Semi- Tokyo drift I love the series don't get me wrong but those two were the only ones I could sit down and play for hours on end, I have tried the other but the appeal just doesn't exist for me.
