Named Rubber Bullet Guns functional?

Are police Rubber Bullet Guns the normal MK20 with tracers for rubbers and regular for lethals? Do the 'named' Rubber Bullet Guns work with tracers in them for civs? I.e. Not an MK20, but looks the same and is actually called Rubber Bullet Gun.

Just curious if these can be used by Non-Police for a less-than-lethal option, and do they require special mags?

Rubber bullets only work for the police, something which i do not like personally! The rubber bullets are tracers, only stanag rounds work as lethals! And there is 2 rubber bullet guns, the Mk-20 carbine, and the MK-20 Normal!

So if one was to equip an LG Rubber Bullet Gun and fill it with tracers, it wont produce quite the result i'm looking for right? :p

Would be OP af if they worked for rebels too though, I can only imagine it...

Yeah I can already see the carnage if some hobo RDMs a Responsible Rebel and takes his rubber bullet gun, then teleports back to kavala and rushes the green/blue/any zone!

Still, it would have been a nice to have! Maybe us rebels can petition for stun guns like the single shot taser or something with a HUGE firing delay..

I'll hypothetically save my hypothetical rubber bullet guns for returning to the police force in exchange for being released from some hypothetical charges (which are totally bogus anyway).

Thanks chaps, i figured this was the case but wanted to check if the named variants were different.

Same could be said for real bullets though? it rarely happens, and plus, it would be good because it wouldn't kill anyone :D

That's true! Who knows, the dev team and admins are so concentrated on this new framework and there could be some nice non-lethal options. Maybe we'll only have 'air guns' and rubber guns for civs etc. and a pistol licence is harder to get and rifles even more so! That said, development appears to be happening on 'Valve Time' so we'll probably get it when HL3 comes out ;)

Great things, take time ;)

I think it would be interesting if it would be buyable that it cost very very much, and other rebels try to hunt owner of the gun tho :), but theres one problem that it probably would ruin roleplay somehow, not sure but these are my thoughts :)

Just think what would happen to kavala If a hobo was to get his hands on a rubber bullet gun...

I think giving rebels a non-lethal option would be quite good. Maybe not knock out with 1 shot but 3-4 shots would be suffice. Because most of the robberies end up the guy running away and the rebels killing him. If they can capture him with non-lethal choice it could produce more RP.
