Ok so i have been working on/testing this rig for about 5months now, and it has not let me down at all, Reason why i am sharing this is because i know a lot of people that either dont have the money for some insane rig that can run this game on a madness or just do not want to spend the amount of money it does cost to build one.
Say no more..I have had no problems with FPS on this rig except from the start when i had to learn what features i can/couldnt use.
1.) This build costs £300 or less but can run arma at ultra preset with a max fps hit in kavala on a full server 20 minutes before restart with no kavala mode on stays at 35FPS or higher 40/44. All other parts of the map can give you a stable 70frames at all times...This includes gunfights/explosions loads of active entities.
2.) I run 16gb ram, But only dedicate 12gb to arma and windows combined, Reason being arma doesnt have to use alot of ram, And if at certain times it does, it is mostly handled by your GPU. Plus then you are able to play other games/Run bots etc do whatever on your second monitor should you choose to get one.
3.) THE biggest hit im suprised many people still do not do to this day! PUT YOUR OS ON AN SSD PLEASE google it if you dont know why i am asking you that, but long story short enables your system to share information back and forth faster...If you are using a hard drive chances are your system is never going to be performing at the rates you need. Most people just keep upgrading ram, cpu and gpu thinking they are core...they are but not upgrading to a ssd puts a cap on how hard your computer can work.
PUT Steam on SSD too, but you can keep your lib on a HDD
4.) Dont piss me off... This isnt my only rig, If you really want me to lay down the pipe ask me for my specs/pictures etc on ts. im not making some long post about the bowsy bishnish
I can tell you it can run all new titles released since Feb 2016 can run at [HIGH] presets without performance jitter.
