I applied for the NHS, and due to the fact that I'm great, I passed the interview well and headed out with Dr Bobmarley.
After a bit of a chat and getting kitted up, we headed out. I jumped in the driving seat, as the good Doctor was having FPS problems.
The best way to learn the job is to do the job - A bunch of calls came in, but the police said to not attend just yet as it was dangerous, so we headed to attend a nearby call. By the time we got there, the chap had respawned, but the original area was now clear. Back across the map we go!
En route, Hobos and such shout 'Medic!' At the car as we drive past.. Clearly on blue lights with a loud siren going.. Maybe take the hint that I'm on a call... Turns out this happens a lot. So we arrive and as we are about to revive, a rebel tries to put DNRs on on the cops. Dr Bob negotiates out of it - We will revive the guys crew, wait till they clear out and then get the cops. He agrees and heads off. So we start to sort the original caller out - Bearing in mind this is my 1st major RP as a medic - We fixed the bits that were wrong. Then he started shaking. Then vomited up the medicine. Stuff kept happening to this poor fellow while I was jumping between TS (To get OC advice) and in-game voice to sort it out. Eventually we sent him on his merry way, and another medic had been a hero and revived everyone else.
So, we pick up a few more tickets, And I nail the RP (If I say so myself). Just as I was getting comfortable, a hacker occurred! All the vehicles blew up, I died along with Dr Bob, and I got about 15 calls straight away. At this point there is only 2 or 3 of us on, So I get told to head out on my own to help clean up this mess. End up driving around for about 2 hours - As there are no other medics online, and I had been 'Deputised'. It was so much fun!
So an eventful 1st day. I can tell that I'm going to like being a Medic - Not only are people please to see you, but as you get calls to go around the map, you know that you are going to be getting decent RP. Basically the RP comes to you. It's also interesting seeing what people get up to, and what odd situations they get themselves into.
Looking forward to reviving all of you
