Music in the steam overlay

So I enjoy listening to music while playing on the island, the only problem that I have is when a incident occurs, I use shadow play to record it, but shadow play also picks up the music in the background so im afraid to listen to music due to copyright etc when I upload the footage to youtube.

Is there any way I can make shadow play mute the background from steam? Please post any suggestions that could be helpful, Thanks! -Outlaw

I don't think you are able to do that with Shadowplay or any other recording software that i know of.

Just don't monitise your videos and you'll be alright

YouTube can edit out the music for you if necessary. It's not perfect but works if it's not too loud.
