Multiple Connections? One for the admins possibly

Possibly one for the admins - Is there any restriction on having multiple people play from the same IP?

I remember previously my housemate and I had a problem where both of us couldn't play on ALUK at the same time. If he connected i couldn't and vice-versa. I'm not sure if it was anything to do with when the server was getting DDoS'd and connections from an address were limited to mitigate this.

I've just built my new housemate a computer, and he's looking to play some ALUK with me and other friends, so i'm hoping there isn't a restriction like this in place. I have a static address at home so if the Admins need it to 'whitelist' it as such I'm more than happy to provide it.

I'm not 100% sure - but i think before my housemate had messaged Neo about it, but we're talking July/August 2014 possibly.

I know for a fact my brother has played at the same time as me for multiple hours on the same connection without any problems previously, this probably doesn't help you too much.. But it's some evidence to the contrary.

As far as I'm aware, there are no restrictions.

An old mate of mine used to play with his brother in the same house and they had no issues, but that was about 4-5 months ago since he last played. Not sure if anything has changed since then.

Thanks for the replies guys - both are of help as it's looking good that there should be any issues (server side) with connecting so if we do run into issues it's likely some NAT madness or something.

Still, hopefully one of the admins will chime in with the official response whenever they have time.

Pretty sure @riku plays with his brother on the same connection on ALUK, Like you said, probably some NAT issues.

The previous attempt was when we had one of Plusnet's dodgy Technicolour Routers. Since upgraded to a badass Draytek Vigor (perks of work) so hopefully there's no more problem.
