My friend recently died of an asthma attack, a lot of people don't see how serious this illness is and I thought I'd leave this here to gain awarness and potentially help raise some money for Asthma UK.

That's sad to hear about One Shot, never nice to lose someone but you should stay around with your friends and family as I know what it's like lose someone. Thoughts are with you man hope you feel better soon as well.

So sorry One Shot. My mum suffers from Asthma Really bad,and it seems i may suffer it from myself, i just refuse to get it diagnosed as i want to be in the military! Haha, not the best idea.Your a great guy though Oneshot and i really hope that you / Your friend and his family get through this fine  :D

An ex girlfriend of mine died a couple years back from an asthma attack. It was absolutely devastating, she was only 17 at the time. The amount of support my entire town gave to her family was just amazing. I try to donate £50 a year to this charity as it means the world to me. Glad to see other people realising how serious asthma can be.

I'm really happy you're doing this Matty, purely for the fact it directly affects me.

I have asthma, and have had it since I was born. It doesn't really affect me anymore, but in certain situations (VERY cold weather, or when it's really dusty are the two main times), it really sucks and I do have to use an inhaler occasionally. However this is common.

The point I wanna skip onto is the fact I nearly, and I mean very, very nearly died when I was 3 years old due to a severe asthma attack which left me unable to breathe properly for a prolonged amount of time, in turn hospitalising my toddler self and keeping me there for days.

Its an illness that isn't portayed as fatal, when sometimes it can be and is worse than it's made out to be.

On top of all this, I'm sorry for your loss buddy, and good for you for setting this up.

- Elakin / Danny.
