MISSING VEHICLES

Summary:

When stolen cars are parked in any public/gang garage, they remain there until retrieved. Keep the possibility of storing stolen vehicles in garages by anyone but make them to appear in the impound next storm.

Detailed Suggestion:

I remember TBJ mentioning on the podcast that most of the tickets created are mainly about stolen/missing cars. I know the Vehicle Tracker app is in the works, but this could be implemented momentarily. If the cars stored no matter where, were to appear in the impound after every storm it would save us from going around half an hour looking for them and you having to answer the same ticket over and over. If they’re stored in a gang storage there’s no way for us to ever get it back unless of course we go around asking every gang can they check if x car is there.

Pros:

·         No more tickets on discord regarding missing cars.

·         No walking around checking every garage.

·         Weeds out griefers stealing cars and storing them in stupid places.

Cons:

·         Can’t park friends’ cars in gang storage since they will be impounded after storm. (unless a system is put in place where the person can accept or decline for the car to be kept in the gang storage).

Balance? No

Personally I quite like the concept that your cars can go missing to some degree, although it is important you can eventually find it. I think there are the odd times they do get 'lost' in the system. Aside from those times I don't see an issue checking the small handful of garages for it.

Therefore I support an app or service that may help find it in some way, but I personally wouldn't want to see the opportunity of you having to do some digging to find your stolen car completely wiped.

Yeah absolutely, if the app does come around someday and there's a fee to find the car that's perfectly fine. Thing are just a little tedious now when it comes to finding a car that's been stolen. This would be just a QOL feature for the meantime. The police I believe can't access any public garages to see what's inside so I'd be more than happy to pay the fee at the impound or something extra.

Big balance issue

impound deletes all the stuff in the car

so I know so one has lots of iron in their Benson I take it and store it somewhere bang its in impound with your logic all that iron is gone

for now leave it as it is until there is a system to track cars

Last few times my cars were impounded, everything was still inside them. Are you sure this is still a thing? I haven't lost items from my cars after impound for the longest time now. And like I said, this only happens when someone steals the car and parks it inside a garage somewhere. Technically if a car is stolen, the person is most likely to take what's inside anyway so I don't see them problem.
