It is like that quite intentionally. Takes time and effort XD

You can automate some collection processes by purchasing a tempest device truck (they aren't cheap) and using that. It fills up the truck on its own by using fuel more quickly (so remember to bring some fuel cans!)

I believe the timing on the tempest is 15 of the Material every 27 seconds. I think it's 2/4 of the material (depending on what you're mining) every 5 seconds using a Pickaxe.

I Have one, they dont really have THAT mutch space, but it does the job well, u can just press windows key, ''mine with device'' , and do whatever u want, and it notifys u when its full, then u can take it, it cost well around 100-200 k or something, so Yes, its worth it, but if u want more space, then get maybe like an hemmit box

Correct. The only automation with the Tempest is the mining part.
